Enjoying the summer off (perks of teaching at a college) is what I'm up to.

I agree Jefferson could be a really valuable assistant, he's just unproven at this point. Then again, so is Luke, so it does fit our theme of a new start with fresh faces.

I'll have faith in Luke's picks, plus nothing can be worse than the coaching horrors of the-one-that-shall-not-be-named.

What the f*** Lakers.com? Presser with Luke should be already. Absolutely ridiculous. f***ing ridiculous and unacceptable. Someone needs to be fired.

I watch the whole conference smiling at every Luke response; just an absolutely different approach and the total Anti-Byron. He was concise, he has a vision, he has the disposition to relate to both the younger and older generation, and has he said, 'this his dream job.' He believes the future his bright, and while I've heard that from Byron before, I never believed him. With Luke, I believe him. We're back, baby. We are back!

    Let's go!!!!

I believe Byron thought it. It's funny I see these two as kind of bizaro versions of each other. In so many ways Luke and Byron are similar, but the opposite in approach to coaching.

I'm with you though everything Luke said made me smile and made me feel excited about the future and made me sigh with relief... So great.

LOL Luke and Byron are not alike in any which way. It's obvious. Byron believes in manning up and tough defense, Luke is a big believer in philosophy, principles, teaching, and teamwork. Opposite sides of the spectrum.

Walton once located a Vujacic trading card which had a less than flattering shot of the ex-Laker guard. Made large copies of them and hung it all over the locker room. Reports of much laughter all around...

I see where you are coming from... Same mind set yet so different philosophies in handling personnel. Walton would want to work with a player's strengths and place them in situations where they can succeed. Scott wants to see if the player can make it work himself even if it is not conducive to their abilities.
