Given the accounts that Shaw has been lauded for his player development talent, it is a sensible idea given the youth of the core. Add Ingram or Simmons to the group and he has a nice group to work with. What is good with Shaw is that he doesn't have that hard bitten personality which would be easier for the new age players to relate.

Colin Cowturd was such a hack this morning, trying to argue Luke was just a "substitute teacher" during his coaching stint earlier this year and GSW's struggles this series should bring optimistic lakers fans back down to earth.
"How's Luke look now Lakers fans? haha"
Hey douche, OKC is a matchup nightmare for GSW no matter how good the coaching. Not to mention OKC is uber hot and on a mission, having just embarassed the Spurs. "How's Popavich look now Spurs fans?.....oh wait." Also, no one expects Luke to be a messiah of coaching. All he has to do is be able to connect with, communicate with, and inspire our young core, teaching them a version of GSW's offensive and defensive principals. That's the bar...which is very realistic.

What an idiotic thing to say.

    1. We're at least 2-4 years from title contention. At least. By then the Thunder will be on the other side of 30 and our ascension will coincide with their demise.
    2. Who thought hiring Luke automatically made us competitors on the Thunder, Cavs, and Warriors? Who? Nobody.
    3. Is Luke the head coach of the Warriors?
    4. Do we have the same roster (positively and negatively) as the Warriors? Will we run in to the same problems?
    5. Shut up Coward. Your show is garbage, you suck, and I wish we had that comedian back in your time slot. At least that guy was interesting.
    6. Go back to stealing Dan Patrick's ideas.
    7. You suck.
    8. Your points are awful, poorly argued, and I don't know how you lucked into your station in life and the money you get for the crap job you do.

Cowherd says things to annoy people. He says things for clicks, for listens, he's a joke, I can't listen to him. I used to sometimes check out his show on ESPN, but since he left I haven't listened to or watched a single thing he's done.

Cowherd is "shock radio" at it's lowest. So glad he's off ESPN. Is Lebatard great? Not really. But he's at least more insightful than Cowherd. The best part is he is now in a time slot where I'm at work already so I don't have to switch over to him during Dan Patrick's commercials.

Cowherd is a lot like Stephen A Smith where he is never held accountable for his "takes." He essentially says anything that pops into that swelled head of his and then when the narrative changes, he just says the opposite and pretends his first comments never happened. It's a sad world we live in where that guy gets paid millions. I honestly don't know how he gets ratings. I have never met anyone who actually likes him.

I usually find the guy entertaining if I listen, but that's just reaching and trying to come up with something for content to be controversial.

That type of thing should be beneath any legitimate sports personality.

I thought Joerger was a good coach and did a heck of a job with that roster; I think he's a good coach, but I like this hire. Fizdale has been on the track for a head coaching position for awhile. He has a solid reputation and is coming from a good culture in Miami. Good for him and Memphis.

Unfortunately say something...say anything. For whatever reason after the Warriors lost last night, the same thought crept into my mind that some hack will offer something similar. It is a competitive field out there in sports journalism. Par for the course.

We can bet our bottom dollars that IF Golden State were to pull it off, then it will be a 180 degree turn of events. Kerr and Walton are the new brilliant breed of coaches. Brilliant tacticians and motivator of men...blah blah blah.

Cowherd is a clown. He said we should trade Simmons on Ingram because he claims they won't help us in the West the next five years. He knows nothing about basketball. Just like Stephen A. He's just a loud mouth who rarely ever makes good points.
