One thing needs to happen. Bagley getting traded or Luke being fired.

Its a complete waste of talent. Bagley isn't amazing but damn...he is producing zero.

    Luke needs to get fired.

Theres a lot of good talent on the Kings but Luke doesn't know how to use it. He can't figure out how to pair Fox and Haliburton. Bagley will always have the draft choice on his head but he's not the bench rider Luke is making him. Holmes is by far the best center but Len and Thompson still gets big minutes.

we'll see, but my money says bagley's a huge bust, and luke isn't playing him because he's not very good at basketball.

i'm also not sure the kings have a whole lot of talent on the roster anyway. they can fire luke and just continue to lose at the same rate while paying two coaches i guess?

i'd like to see him get a veteran team, but he's going to have to go back to being an assistant again first, i think.

Yeah, I'd like to see him get a gig like Philly or Boston.

Sac Town has been in the lottery for an eternity and has had some truly awful GMs during this run.

right. first he gets us in the absolute darkest of times, and then he moves to one of the worst-run franchises (if not THE worst-run franchise) in the league.

i think his dad told him not to take our job, and i'm guessing folks probably warned him about the other. imagine some alternate universe where he stays in gs as an assistant instead of leading our sinking ship and then pounces on a ready-made veteran squad.

who knows? or maybe he sucks. he did hire his bff with a scant coaching record, iirc, and perhaps luke's just a bro who's fallen into some good situations at various times.

bottom line is i'm not sure we can know given the current data.

Luke might be on the same trajectory as Mike Brown, which is really not that bad.

Sounds like he's learned from the Ben Simmons school of doing nothing. Bet Ben is jealous, because Bagley is still getting paid!

If Bagley wants to leave though, he needs to play to make teams want him. I love the Queens, they were smart to pick Bagley over Doncic and Young.

As for Luke, I don't think the Queens will fire him that easily and they owe him $11 million dollars still. He's the second winningest coach in Queens history behind Adelman! He should donate money to Steve Kerr/Warriors, they have made him millions of dollars.

doesn't winningest usually imply # of wins, not %?

    either way, yikes.

Set himself up for failure going there.

May have submarined his entire future coaching career.

what's he pocketed from coaching so far? 50 million+? dude will probably be a billionaire by the time he's 50 or something.

i agree that he chose some bad spots if he wanted to be a long-term head coach, but he also struck while the iron was hot twice.

definitely. If he was wise with his earnings, he'll never have to work again if he doesn't want to.

    11 coaches since Adelman
    No playoffs in 15 years

    That's awful.
