The Refs must have read this thread before the Rockets game tonight. They only gave Harden 25 FTs. He probably deserved 50.

I disagree. He needs to be a cheater. Otherwise, he's an 18 ppg scorer and the Rockets are a fringe playoff team.

Luke had zero turnovers in this game. The players actually had all of them. Missing LeBron and Zo, and Rondo's first game back also would have zero effect on offensive continuity I'm sure.

The constant chopping and changing of lineups needs to stop.

luke said they worked on boxing out in practice, then went out and didn't box out.

legit question: who's this on? it's probably a rorschach, but still...

my feeling is the players. you came into the game prepared by your coaching staff that they would crash the offensive boards. the coach even supposedly subbed wagner in just to make a point about boxing out (and then he gave one up, too, lol). at some point, people need to recognize how inexperienced and largely untalented the non-lebron roster is. can't get blood from a stone.

We all were fooled into thinking we had all these gems on our roster based entirely on their draft positions. Our second best player is Kuzma who is still wildly inconsistent. How many of you would have done the Godfather offer SA wanted back in July? None of us. We all thought it was stupid. But how many would go back and do it now? Almost all of us, I'm sure. Unfortunately, the rest of the league sees what we see. They know our "young talent" is not that talented. Who can we get for any of it? We have a pg who can't score at all, and while he does a lot of things great, he is injured constantly. We have an aggressive scorer who can get you 40 points on any given night, or shoot you out of a game with a 2 for 12 performance. We have a physically gifted freak who doesn't seem to have the basketball IQ to play the game without the ball in his hands. I don't think we can wait until this summer to start trading these guys. This isn't about being patient or sticking with a plan. This is about salvaging what little value these guys have left.

Yep. Without Bron, we're a bottom 3 team in the west. Reality is a b****.

i think the value's gone, so we're stuck with the 2019 plan at this point.

i will say this: i'm not on board for a 2020 plan. they stretched my patience enough. i'll take up whittling or something.

I think there is some value there, but the AD package is looking less and less likely. It's one reason why I'm all for trying to land Dennis Smith Jr., even if it costs us Lonzo. at this point.

If I were the Lakers, I'd try to move Lonzo for Dennis Smith Jr. I'd then try to move Ingram, Zubac and a first rounder (with filler obviously) to get Bradley Beal.

We'd be looking at this lineup for the rest of this season.

    McGee/Chandler
    Kuzma
    Lebron/Hart
    Beal/Hart/Svi
    DSJ/Rondo

This coming offseason, our cap will be 86 million or so after cap holds. That leaves us with 26 million in cap space (Cap projected 109). It's not quite enough to sign a max free agent, but I'm sure we could move DSJ and maybe Bonga to get to that number.

We fill in with vets again since I don't think anyone is coming here that's a big time free agent anyway.

Then in 2020, our salary will be roughly 90 million with a cap projected at 118. We should easily be able to shed a couple salaries at that point to get to where we can offer a max deal to Anthony Davis.

Yes, it's the 2020 plan, but at this point, do we have a better option? This plan also allows us to field a team that has a puncher's chance at a ring this season and next.

True ... but being able to execute and have better rotations would still help our team .

What's the point of having Lance instead of Svi next to Rondo ? We needed shooting and Svi hit 2 threes in 5 minutes I think.

Beasley can score , he should play more for a while too...

I'm not giving up Lonzo for a player they don't even want.

our mgmt and them leaking to media fooled us into thinking they didn't need to give up anything for players who's gona come here anyways. I certainly felt that way too, dont give up our youth for pending FA but looking more and more like its gona come back to bite this team in the butt with all the youth failing at one point or another

Even in hindsight I wouldn't pull that trade. Ball and Ingram are still babies, only a year older. I would have traded Kuz and retained Julius given that Kawhi was here though.
