It did work (ie 10-0 run). Our switch everything defensive scheme for the entire game failed us tho and it really caught up with us in the 4th when the unit had tired legs.
yea but look at what dough boy said, so that to me shows it doesn't work on defensive side and btw that 10-0 run wasn't small ball, it was just james doing james things with a little zo in there. I did not see any of that 10pt run coming as result of "mis-matches" that was created by the team due to small ball
Bro, it did work last night: small ball of Bron, Kuz, Hart, Kcp, Zo played 13 mins together and was a net +15.4. Replacing Zo with Svi had that unit playing a total of 4 mins together for a net +15.3. Meanwhile tall ball of TC, Kuz, Bron, Hart, Zo played the second most with 10 mins together and they were a net -36. Replacing Hart with Kcp had that unit playing a total of 6 mins together for a net +40. So the 2 small ball units combined for a total of 17 minutes and had a net +30.7 Meanwhile the 2 tall ball units combined for a total of 16 minutes and were a net +4
advance stats is meaningless to me, you saw the same layup lineup like everyone else, when dough boy and his ft speed of a blob can get to the rack with relative ease, it means he did not respect the paint nor did he respect our perimeter defenders.
Dudley getting layups was the ultimate insult. it was "cancel the season" bad I hope some of the guys got no sleep dwell on that crap. They should be ashamed and embarrassed.
Hart's got to go back in the starting unit. The lack of outside shooting from the starters is just too much. I don't know what he is thinking or if he is. Ball taking all those 3s? We can very easily be out of the playoff group after this stretch. Mag needs to put the eye of Sauron on Luke.
So predictable: Loss = lotsa chirping Dominating win against Champs with LeBron out for the 4th quarter = deafening silence (Except for @KareemtheGreat33 who came in to give props)
Luke did a great job yesterday; it was one of his best coaching performances. And we're Lakers fans; some of us are wildly emotional and want to win at any cost; and we would be calling for Pop's head if he were head coach. Nevertheless, you are right; he probably doesn't get enough credit when we win games.
