Luke on the double Triple Double: "I know it's not easy. There have been a lot of good players in Lakers history and I figured Walton and Kobe (Bryant) would have done it a few times," joked Walton, a former small forward with the Lakers.
they almost did- from Oram https://www.basketball-reference.com/boxscores/200612170LAL.html Kobe 45 8 and 10 Luke 15 8 and 11
Well, he can say that, because, after all, he is better than Vince, Melo, definitely Ginobili... Artest, of course. Definitely Ray Allen. Definitely.
In my mind I’m pretty much better than all of them too. I’m like the Tupac of my local Y. That’s good enough for me.
Captain Jack is a moron. In his mind, Biff is a better player than Manu. And he is better than Ray Allen. I don't think any coach, ever, would have agreed with him.
what he means is he thinks he can whuup they a** When you're not that smart, that probably translates into being a better player in their mind. it must be interesting to live in his head hate to think of what he thinks of ya'all
I honestly don't see any scenario in which he would be able to whoop Artest's a--. On, or off the court.
Luke about to admonish Kuz, Hart and Bron (well maybe not Bron, but he should). #DidDiddleyAgainstDudley
his small ball lineup should be blamed too for that.....when has this lineup ever worked? and wheres our draymond at C? kuz/james dont play a lick of d
Luke should admonish himself too with that small ball bulls***. But then again, the Nets woulda just countered with Allen or Davis if we put TC back in...and that's how they ran up the score on us to begin with.
We lack a small ball center option , this isn't on Luke at all We are in serious trouble when both Javale and Tyson aren't available. The tiny hope we have is Wagner becoming better at rim protection and rebounding when 100% healthy and with more experience/reps ( I like his D on the perimeter)
firable offense to lose back to back against bad Eastern non playoff teams, except we don't have the full complement
tc was available n no small dont work cause like you said they cant shoot 3s well but also I dont see kuz taking advantage of his match offensively, he does the same things whether hes the c or pf
yeah, it's a personnel issue to start. one would hope luke would abandon kuz at c--and he largely has since TC arrived--but when mcgee's out, the options are limited. i didn't see the game, but i agree with luke: back line defense shouldn't come into play against dudley. he should never, under any circumstances, get there unabated.
We made the 10-0 run in the 4th with Bron at the 5. So it was working...but the problem is youre playing Bron at the 5 while dude we on his way at playing 40+ minutes. I understand that we're dealing with injuries and guys are asked to do more and play more minutes...but then don't switch everything on defense for the entire game. That s*** will tire your unit out. If we're at full strength then you can employ that type of defense... But when you're limited and guys are forced to play more minutes and out of position, you can't tax them like that. Dudley set up the slip screen for 3 quarters and then exploited the s*** out our "switch everything" defense in the 4th. That s*** is annoying AF and Luke show her held accountable on that one.
