Here’s the thang Skip If a team is playing well everyone has to get a piece of the credit pie, just like when a team is playing bad everyone has to get a piece of the blame pie. Phil has had some dumb and head scratching moments as a coach as do all coaches, it comes with the territory. As long as he isn’t an imbecile (which he isn’t) we’ll be fine. I mean who would guys have as a replacement?
The team is doing well right now, so everyone gets some credit for it and that includes Luke. I mean, they obviously worked on that D.
learn how to make adjustments puke, both orl games the adjusted to mcgee blocking everything inside n started bombing 3s in us n we did nothing till late 4th
It's not a good look for Luke & staff getting beat again by the Magic. We just got a good look at them @ their house in a that loss and they come into our house with a losing record in the Eastern conference coming into this. We turn Vucevic into 1960's Wilt. We needed Rondo a lot more than Luke in this. 2nd unit looked bad. I back Luke but fact is if this were PJ or Pop coaching we don't lose twice.
if magic has this teams # with their record ,its a dam shame and quite embarrassing...magic must be this team new cha bobcat
If only there were some sort of a position, within the organization, whose job is to design offensive and defensive schemes for the opponents. Then, during games, somehow convey these schemes to the players, monitor their application and adjust as the game progresses.
this is same lame results like last yr, we had leads on a handful of teams only to lose the gm after half time, last yr people say because youth n lack of star power. we have a star n yet same recurrence, either get up big n lose lead n struggle to win or lose altogether
With them it's playing harder, unfavorable matchup means something physical characteristics that are hard for a particular team to adjust to, or their style of play like too quick, too big, too athletic, but there is nothing about them we shouldn't be able to answer to. Like us they have guys that can and do switch a lot. We got more than double the free throw attempts, the ball was static except in Lebron and Kuzma's hands. They are grabbing more offensive rebounds and getting themselves more attempts by hustle in both meetings with them and that is just playing harder they just want to beat us more than we want it. Coach has got to make the adjustments and prepare the team to step up.
Who's a good coach out there? There is no one. Brad Stevens is the second coming to Jesus and even he is struggling with lineups with Kyrie and Gordon being inserted into the starting lineup.
I agree with you mostly but if there is a skill that one player has, it could change the complexion of the game and how things are defended. For example, the Lakers centers struggle with skilled centers who can hit the three ball (like Vucevic). Vucevic ends up pulling McGee out of the painted area around the rim that caters to McGee’s strengths (blocks, altering shots). As a result, that little tweak helps with spacing and puts weaker defenders at a big disadvantage without McGee there to protect the rim. This scheme would be great with someone like Draymond Green. He is really the MVP for the Warriors but he’s gonna get shafted and will end up signing somewhere else. Green really makes the defensive scheme work. I agree with you that our guys need to give better effort. Some of the reasons for our defense looking like a pickup game at the Y is a lack of effort and/or a lack of defensive skills. We have both going on at times with certain lineups.
Green will stay if there's nothing they can do about KD. Or maybe the planets and stars align and GSW moves Green first to entice KD to resign but KD goes elsewhere anyways and they don't have the $ to resign Boogie either. End of GSW
