I'm sorry TIME, I have nothing but respect for you as always. But I can't give Luke credit for these wins when I feel that he's actually handicapping us and making things harder for us to win with his lineups. I don't like the way he is coaching/substituting at all right now. Lebron gets the lion share of the credit because he is saving our butts with these insane performances. It shouldn't be this hard.
Luke is on the same timetable as Lonzo and Ingram. We need them to step up right now and be what their potential tells us they can be. We don't have time to waste to get them up to speed, we don't know how much more of this Lebron we have.
I hear you LJ. You just perfectly described my experience with Phil Jackson as coach. I had issues regularly with his lineup / sub patterns. Kobe often bailed him out. But what made him a great coach was something less tangible. I get you about LeBron getting the lion share credit, but when they were losing earlier in the year Luke was getting the lion share blame. We acquire Chandler, and LeBron starts to actually play like LeBron and we start winning consistently. It took Miami with PRIME LeBron + DWade + Bosh a third a season to start winning like this when they first assembled that team. Here's what Luke has done really well this year. He has established a good working relationship with LeBron. He has Kuz describing him glowingly as a player's coach. He has a healthy team culture growing. Is he making mistakes along the way? Sure. He's still super young and learning on the job. But I'm personally thrilled at the 8-2.
Good points, TIME. I liked the Walton hire and thought he was great for the kids. I'm not so certain about coaching Lebron though. As alam1108 mentioned, I think he's on the same timetable as the kids now. Not sure who of them all will be around next year. We shall see.
https://stats.nba.com/lineups/advanced/?Season=2018-19&SeasonType=Regular Season&TeamID=1610612747 I don't care to go through all 200+lineups, but one thing standing out (unless they're buried on page 9), is that we're not seeing Ingram a lot at SF with a traditional pg or traditional center. When he's at his natural position, he's with Lance or Hart at pg or if he gets to play SF with ZO or Rondo, it's with Kuz or Lebron at Center. I didn't see a lot of: Lonzo or Rondo sg (Hart or KCP) Ingram pf (Lebron or Kuz) Mcgee or Chandler
f*** you, Puke, for ruining my favorite game and favorite team for me. Your stupid O and D made it so that I can't even enjoy wins... Zo... that's all I have left.
Luke has ruined basketball for you???? That O is 10th best in the league... That D is tied for 10th best in the league...yeah folks, we're a top 10 offensive and defensive unit. And if you don't think Luke deserves some of the credit... Then it has to be a player...but let me guess, it's not Bron.
LOL. Are you for real? There is a vast difference between scoring a bunch of points and having an offense that is enjoyable to watch. If you think we have an offense, I have a well-maintained bridge to sell.
Of course it's well-maintained...your tolls are egregious and I keep paying them. Besides, what am I going to do with 2 bridges? Although, I must admit, your bridge is much nicer than mine. I gotta stop using my wages on porn & booze and start to invest like you did.
