Not really super surprising to be honest. They don't pound the air out of the ball like other point guards who are more of a scorer first. Kyrie, Westbrook, Lillard come to mind. Ball and Rondo are the kind of point guards that move the ball and do it quickly.
Just a guess, but maybe a guy who works with the team on court helping them do drills and specific skill work. Kind of a half way role between player and assistant coach.
I still don't know who he is or where he's coming from but essentially another player development coach with potentially a little more responsibilities?
I have the utmost confidence in Luke being able to handle the different personalities on this team. The vets will buy in to the kids after seeing how talented they are, the kids will welcome the mentoring from guys who've been through it all. We will finally have on the court leaders, two at that with Rondo and Lebron. They'll make Luke's life so much easier. There will be growing pains while Luke figure out rotations but once even buys in, watch out.
Klay looks semi-homeless or just finished 3 weeks straight of a Netflix binge and hadn't seen the light of day in awhile.
I know we talk a lot about Kawhi, but Klay and his personality - cool level, chill guy would be the perfect FA we'd want next to Lebron. Yes, a healthy Kawhi you could make the case for him, but that is yet to be determined. Klay, his two way ability, hall of fame level shooting, and easy going guy would be perfect. Good Luke! I think he still stays in GS but if we've learned anything from all the FA movement the last 2-3 years anything is possible and the recruitment he's doing doesn't hurt.
