I don’t ignore it, but it is merely a speculation. Especially considering JR and PG share an agent.

OTOH there is plenty of evidence of Puke talking about Randle, interacting with him in games etc. They all do point to Puke being the initiator.

There is towing the company line, and there is making it your life’s work.

So you speculate he is too dumb to realize starting Randle a few games at the very least at the start of the season might possibly have been more productive than Nance. Even when we were getting behind in all those games. Sorry. I am going with Luke is not the stupid bumpkin you make him out to be.

Sure you do. Sure I don't. Evidence suggests I am correct. Conjecture suggests you are.

    EDIT:

Basically, I don't understand what exactly makes you believe in Puke? That is, aside from general optimism and belief in humanity?

The ONLY, IMO, thing one can TRY and attribute to Puke (yes, I refuse to write his name, much like Savory (or was it Kareem ?) with his Cupkrap) is the improved defence and not quitting.

Even that, I doubt it really is his doing, though. We got a bunch of above average defensive players (Lonzo, Lopez) and the ones we had (Ingram, Randle) improved, especially Randle, who is, IMO, a top-10 defender right now.

Not quitting is also personnel driven, KCP, for all his flaws, has some of that. So does Lonzo.

You know how they say that common cold is cured in 7 days if you don't do anything and a week if take medicine?

Same here. We'd be a much better defensive team based on personnel changes alone. Can't be schemes, amirite?

All those treat symptoms, not the illness/decease itself, AFAIK.

Only if we can put all of the blame on him as soon as the team lacks energy and loses again.

You guys saw how quick we started the game right? On literally every OKC score, LA ran to inbound the ball and push tempo asap.

I'm sure Luke knew OKC was just coming off 5 games in 7 nights.

This has to count as at least a little progress. He’s had to adjust without Zo as well, and starting Hart to move Ingram to pg has worked well so far. I’m not a big Luke fan, but I still prefer him to B0ron, Potato Head, and that insufferable self-deprecating Pringles man.

^first was way TOO old school (still love him as an ex-player), second was an in over his head figure-head and the third was an ill fit to a slow, un-athletic and old crew. Walton is a good fit for a young group even if he has his how wtf coaching moments.

As long as he's parking Ennis' a** on the bench, he doing a great job.

Luke is getting this figured out. Him and this young team are going to grow together perfectly. Better adjustments and more confidence in what he is doing.

10-4 since January 7th. That equal the 2nd Best Record in the NBA since that date (see picture in Optimism thread for proof).

Luke's 2nd year as a head coach and he's also improving. Gotta give him and this young team/new management a chance, meaning not just 2-3 years.

And on the "not so brilliant, but about time moves" thank goodness he finally came around and put Randle in the starting lineup, moved Nance to the bench and has finally started to feature Lopez in the post where he can do actual damage instead of parked out at the three point line.

Luke's getting smarter and getting better. Benching Ennis was a must. So glad he did it. Hart looks totally legit as a starter. Making Ingram the playmaker has given him some new life as well - he was starting to taper off a bit just doing the driving thing. More responsibility and more team play is good for him, he's got the talent and IQ for it.
