    I don't think we technically have to ask for permission, but its just common business courtesy IMO. I'm sure the Lakers will ask if those are some of the assistants Luke or our FO want to target.

    At this point, even if some of these well regarded coaches used to be head honcho it doesn't hurt to have Laker brass make a pitch. They say no, then move on. Of course, just let's not waste our time with the ones from the Cretaceous era.

    It is going to take along time. We are going to land the top two free agents, grab the number one pick, young players are going to develop and we win the Championship next year. Nothing to complain about...lol

    Sign Whiteside and Durant to max deals.

    Sign Bazemore.

    Honestly it feels like something huge is gonna go down this year. We have more cap space than we've had in so long. Kobe's contract off the books. Apparently Luke was told of at least two guys they're looking at and he was sold. Hard to believe those two guys were just marginal players to convince him. Must've been big names like Whiteside and maybe someone via trade.

    We won't be able to sign Bazemore after Durant/Whiteside. Bazemore is going to get a nice fat paycheck this summer. I suspect Vazquez will also get a bigger than expected deal. Dudley would be a pretty good addition though.

    I don't expect Blatt, Vogel, etc. But I do think we snag a good "name" guy to go along with some solid experienced assistants.

    I think we all need to temper our expectations of Luke in his first year of coaching with a young nucleus, and most likely a huge amount of roster turnover. I don't expect him to be a hero day one, but I'd like for him to possibly end up being the type of legacy coach that hangs around for 30+ years. How awesome would that be?
