I think we are all tired of seeing our beloved team already done before new year starts.

I strongly disagree. I felt in more than a handful of games - we lost because of something idiotic Luke did.

I agree... but we'd be what, 14-20 with mostly sensible rotations? You really think some of the stupid rotations are the real problem with this team?

Its a problem no doubt, but it's not near the top IMO

Yes and every win matters. IMO. Progression this year should be at least a 32-34 win team. And next year 40 plus with 1 Max and possibly 48+ if another Max Guy, etc.

Right now, we are 2-8 in our last 10, and with each loss Boston gets a better pick. Wins do matter. And Luke isn't getting the job done by putting his players or team in the best possible position to win games. IMO.

I think it should go without saying that every win matters. What I'm saying is that this should have been expected to some degree, and the main culprit is not Luke's crappy rotations. It's certainly a problem, but IMO Luke is becoming the whipping boy for all the problems this team has because youth and inexperience doesn't have a face.

This Lakers season should have been what was the 16-17 Nuggets one .

I get the youth argument but at some point there has to be some improvements in the wins column ....

You'e right. It's not only his stupid rotations; it is also his lack of X's and O's, mismanagjng Julius, relying on Ball too much, over playing Kuzma, need I go on?

And LFR has watched every possession this season while breaking it down on tape....

Interesting but the big difference would be that Jackson wasn’t well liked in the front office especially toward the end. There’s been a bit of criticism but I don’t get the feeling the front office doesn’t like Luke. At least not yet.

It will come; Luke sucks. He has 1 year max left. IMO

I actually think the same. He has to show something fairly quickly next year especially with an improved roster.

Ok then how many more wins would this team realistically have with an average NBA coach if you think Luke is terrible?

I agree with Kareemthegreat. I think a better coach gets a handful more wins than what we have. There were literally 5 games where the games were close but Luke's rotations were so terrible that we destroyed any chance we had to win.

Average to good head coach? Through 34 games- 15-19 with the hardest part of their schedule done in December and looking like a team on the rise instead of a team that's about to give Boston a top 5 lottery pick. And yes, as I mentioned in my last post those 4 wins matter ESPECIALLY on a young team where self-confidence and team confidence matter...

Yeah, I went with 4 conservatively; this is with starting Kuzma at the 4 at the beginning of the season, but 5 is plausible, IMO.

No way was anyone going to start Kuzma at the beginning of the season though. Granted after a couple months in and as badly as we were hurting for scoring out of our starters.

No one was ever going to start Kuzma? I don't think that's true, but whatever. I'm not getting into that; I think the consensus among a few of of who have answered is that we could have had 4-5 more wins with an average to good head coach.

Oh agree Luke has cost us wins. Although like with Randle and KCP's looong leash some of that may fall on Magic and Rob telling him what they need to have happen if they are hell bent to move Julius.

And of course Kyle had to show he could shoot and play like that in the actual NBA first, not just summer league and pre-season.
