18 min, 0 points, 1 rebound, 5 fouls. I didn’t get to watch that game, but those aren’t the numbers we’ve been seeing from him. Is he ok?
He was in foul trouble most of the night. He was able to get us some extra possessions by tapping out balls and keeping them alive. Didn’t score but did have some impact on the game.
I noticed Dwight was open against much smaller defenders, notably Chris Paul, and his teammates weren't passing the ball to him. I get that technically it isn't his role to score but when he's got a huge size advantage, he should at least get a few touches here and there. Defensively, he hasn't looked as great as he did in the first half but the refs have also been very unfair to him. Players arm lock with Dwight in many rebounding opportunities and it doesn't get called enough but Dwight simply shoulder bumps them and gets called for foul after foul.
Dwight with a nice game against the Pels. His defensive instincts are just alot better then JaVale's Looks like the leg with the sleeve maybe bothering him a bit
His minutes are going to go up in the playoffs: Vogel seems to keeping a lot of his cards close to the vest. Normally I would be saying why are Dwight and Caruso not seeing much bigger minutes but Vogel is protecting him against foul trouble and keeping him fresh
He leaves such a huge footprint on the game when he isn't called for touch fouls every couple mins. Clearly getting his athleticism back and is now a lob target again, really dangerous with the passing on this team.
vogel hit it on the head. his unchecked aggression is both a strength and a weakness. since we don't have to count on him for 30mpg, the downside is limited. he changes the tenor of the game while he's in there. mason plumlee kicked our a**** on more than one occasion last year. i barely noticed that corn-fed thug last night.
Easily one the best offseason pickups for ANY team... Super impressed with Dwight and glad to see he's happy out there.
