So where is the clown taking his next act? He already hit CA, FL, & TX with his tour. I say he starts tapping into smaller markets where people will be happy to have a headliner. WI? NC? OR?
charlotte makes sense. dallas makes sense (though i read they don't want him, either). i worry about him in milwaukee. if atlanta loses horford, that makes sense to me: lots of shooters, including a guy who can rebound, defend in space, and stretch the floor at the pf in millsap (rare trifecta there, btw, and the reason, imo, that atlanta gets to be a unique team).
I've heard he really doesn't want to play at home. Maybe he's left too many kids there who knows? I agree it totally makes sense as a landing spot if Horford bounces.
I think he wants back to Orlando...gut feeling. He wants to "improve" his image with a home coming story.
that would be so howard. so much image consciousness, instead of just doing what's right on a personal and professional level. the latter was the story surrounding the houston move, but he knew it was great PR. leaving the universally hated lakers in the lurch bought him a year or two free from press and fan scrutiny, but it wasn't the thing he should have done. going back to orlando would most definitely be about constructing a story and not about doing what's best for oneself. then again, we're talking about a guy who STILL refuses to be a roll man despite his abundant talent for that very specific (and very important) aspect of the game.
A lot can and has been said about Coward's attitude but the most importang thing is he was done as an elite player after his back issues .. He's now 50-60% of the player he was in Orlando
Completely agree. The narrative only works if you come back at least approaching your peak form. Hopefully Dwight goes to a western rival to steal draft picks and eat cap space. He may have 15-20 good games a year now, but in anyone's books that does not make an all star. He is below players like Cousins in talent, and below players like Bogut even due to his lack of passing team intagibles and knowing his role. Is it safe to say he is a goner from Houston with MDA a'comin'?
http://bleacherreport.com/articles/...ws-rumors-speculation-on-rockets-stars-future Excerpts from article: "He [coach Mike D'Antoni] would welcome him [Howard] back. We would welcome him back," Rockets general manager Daryl Morey told SiriusXM Bleacher Report Radio's Howard Beck and Noah Coslov on Sunday when asked about the situation. From a stylistic standpoint, it seems unlikely Howard's role will change much. D'Antoni is notorious for his pace-and-space style, which emphasizes positional fluidity and an uptempo mindset. Howard's preferred back-down post-ups have little room in D'Antoni's system; it's likely Houston would use him mostly as a roll man on pick-and-rolls. "One of the best players in the league. We're going to play a certain way. I hope he wants to play that way," D'Antoni said of Howard, per Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle. ***No comment from Dwight yet***
"We're going to play a certain way. I hope he wants to play that way" To which Dwight reportedly responded by going to Houston's front office and asking them to amnesty D'Antoni .....
Howard hates p&r. If he didn't, we would have had another championship back then. he believes he is too good to be a roll man. Ge wants to be featured and plays run through him. The problem is he thinks he is better than he is.
