Props to Dwight for being a pro’s pro. He could have easily went diva and faked an injury and not played tonight. Instead, he done the honorable thing by sticking it out. Thanks for setting the example for those younger guys and fighting with them until the end.

Dwight played well all season. One of the very few bright spots to this failed season. If this is the end of the road for the big fella it was a hell of a career.

AD's shooting going down the tubes is bizarre. his shot actually looks pretty decent, even from three.

Dwight still has plenty of game left, as a bench player in relatively limited minutes. I have no issues with his production this year, and he was a true professional. Kudos.

i'd welcome him back as our lone muscle big on a vet min. hopefully, his relationship with the organization is in good shape.

i'm oddly hoping for a lot of this year's bad team to return.

monk, reaves, melo, howard, stan, THT can all stay.

russ, ellington, ariza, baze should all be replaced.

I'd take him as our 3rd C. Can't be our backup with the drop off from last time he was here to this time and you factor in another year of mileage on that.

I know a lot of people want to go younger with a backup and I'm not against that, just knowing this team it seems unlikely. I think McGee is our best option all things considered. Don't think he gets the mid level again and can probably be had for the min. Everyone looks good against us, but he looked sharp the other night. His motor and give a f*** was still high even in garbage time. I don't think we'll be as nearly as attractive to vets looking to ring chase this time around, but given his history with us, that he enjoyed his time in the bubble with us, got along with everyone, and we didn't piss him off like we did every big on our roster last year...I think he'd be willing to come back.

    AD/McGee/Dwight

Then you can bring in another 4 who can play some small ball 5 if the team wants small ball options or just run Bron there some again.

Agree with your departure list. I probably put THT on that list just because I think it gives us the best chance on getting value for Russ and I don't think we'll be able to maximize him here and because of that he'll use his PO in a year and leave us with nothing.

I reduce his role and minutes. Keep them in the mid teens and under no circumstance do we play him on a back to back. Depth chart wise, he's my 3rd string PF.

Yeah ok, has the 13th player he can be an asset. But he's cooked, he will always get buckets but he gets murdered in defense and we will already have to compensate LeBron, Monk and other guards who are not good defenders

We REALLY need another big besides AD who can still switch on D.

Melo is fine in 10-12 minutes as a dedicated shooter off the bench. That's it. He can still do that at a relatively high level. He hould never play more minutes, and he should absolutely NOT play the 5 ever again.

right. this is a not even an every-night guy. you play him for certain matchups, sometimes heavily but mostly sparingly.

we need a 25mpg starter who's a plus on either offense or defense. i think it's possible.

Yup. I’m fine with Dwight in a limited role as well.

Bring him back, he a reliable backup center. Not his fault that Lakers decided to only have one legit C and PF each: actually bring all the young guys plus Dwight back and cut all the vets not named AD/Lebron

I’m in favor of this too but I’d also like to bring back Melo. He’s a great bench scorer and had a positive attitude and impact in the locker room. For vet minimum you’d be hard pressed to find anyone better and he’s such a good fit for us.

My only concern there was a real push to play Melo because of his past glory: his defense was terrible this year (not for a lack of effort, just his age).
As long as its not Vogel going down with his guys should be fine

Yeah he played too many minutes because of all the injuries but if he’s strictly off the bench for scoring 10-15 minutes per game I’d love to have him back. I enjoyed his offense and his outlook this year. It was a breath of fresh air and amazing to watch him knock down close to 40% from three.

yeah, melo's a 15mpg sparkplug a la the last useful version of mo speights now. he can't be a part of a regular rotation. that said, i agree with pioneer that he was trying, and he's a good locker room guy at this stage in his career.

i'd like to have him and dwight on vet mins as 13th/14th guys.
