posting this here as well. JJ likes him and no doubt has a plan on how he will use him.

i've actually been a DFS fan for a long time; i just don't know that he's still the guy he was when we last saw him playing for a contender, and i feel like we sort of have guys like him. maybe jj's idea is to play as many of those as possible, and we're going to try to offset our lack of centers by playing very big at the sf spot at all times.

he's shooting anomalously high this year for him. career 36%, has shot 33+ since his first three years. so, here: 22%.

I liked DFS a lot on Dallas. Can that player re-emerge? I guess we'll see. We could use the wing D for sure and I think he'll bring it. I guess Gabe is here to stay though - hmm. Maybe Vando gets moved for a big.

I think DFS is better than that. He doesn’t make all the bonehead mistakes Cam makes as far as I can tell and is a better cutter.

That wouldn't suck with everyone jonzing for size, wings and 2 way players. And Rob DO Something .... Anything ..... but now we're unhappy cause no miracle with talented bruising Big Man "defender" yet. Oh <<< and needs to shoot the 3 ball.

In addition to what he brings with his play, I think stuff like this can also be important to a team. We have a lot of young guys who are still finding their way, and we have our stars who can’t really risk ejection or fighting. We don’t really have a guy like this on the roster, that brings this sort of mentality, we’re kind of a soft team I that regard haha. I just think stuff like this is valuable too

As far as actual play, I think he’ll be really good as well

    I approve of this trade.
Dude is already a massive upgrade over DLo on defense(I know they play different positions and roles). If he can still play better than average D and give us some scoring, this trade will look like an “A” by season’s end.
Rob gets some flowers for this one.

Prototypical 3&D player who can catch and shoot. OK, maybe not shoot on the Lakers, LOL, but who knows? In any case, this dude is a legit 6'7" wing, physically strong and basically exactly what we needed. You don't need to set anything special up for him, doesn't need the ball... very easy fit in general. Low maintenance as they say and brings the toughness we desperately needed.

Oh Hell Yeah!! .... with his size and also being apparently "likes to or isn't afraid to fight Guy". I haven't even gotten around yet to watching any highlight clips of him at his best and those always pump me up. But we sure as heck do need someone like ^^^ that Guy. Love the size and build! No matter if @VladeD714 prefers the skinny emo types and hates when I bring muscles up.

That’s definitely a factor to me. We’ve been a team that guys know they can punch and we won’t punch back. We needed toughness in the worst way.
