Probably just a rest game esp for the next 2 games that will be tough against the Knicks and Clippers Looks like we didn't need him tonight...but def gonna need him against the Knicks wings and potentially to switch onto KAT as well...

lol...OR luka pressures laker management into overpaying DFS... but we should have understood that risk when we traded for him the first time. adding luka definitely changes these negotiations, but not in our favor, imo. we could have held his bird rights over his head in negotiations before, but now luka's holding his extension over that.
Finney-Smith walking away from this setup in LA? I seriously doubt that thought, is even remotely on his mind.
i doubt it. i just think he'll be able to squeeze extra years or dollars out of us if we think it will impact luka's choices.
I don't know...not if Luka continues to try to steal his points like this... He's also already ruled out for tomorrow's game (we shouldn't need him)
43% 3P% with the Nets 37% 3P% with the Lakers 3P% Lakers tax strikes again! On a serious note, him and Vando being on the team gives the Lakers so many options. Vando doesn't have to be the only guy guarding the perimeter which likely resulted in him being as injury prone as he was. DFS can absorb those minutes and cover for Vando as well. Both of these guys can switch 1-4, sometimes 5 and give the Lakers versatility that they haven't had since the 2020 Lakers. I also think it's why Rui has been on a tear lately. It's no coincidence Rui has looked much better since DFS and Vando have been back. Rui can just focus on scoring and not being relied on to guard wings because he was never a good defender. What a huge boost DFS has been.
