I didn't use the phrase "game changer", someone else did and I asked how that was possible.

What I was looking for was some special insight into his abilities that would make sense to me. I clearly said I hadn't watched him much so I was asking an open ended question hoping for some edification.

I already admitted IT looked bad to me in the one game I watched him play against us.

What I said was at least when you take a chance on someone like Dwight or IT... there is hope for some greatness... with Waiters it seems like he never had it so it's kind of like plugging in a poor man's Clarkson.

I thought maybe someone knew something I didn't about his skills and from everyone's reaction, I don't think there is anything great about him.

He's better than Daniels in terms of his ability to create something... so I suppose I get that part but then you add in the difficult locker room issues it seems pretty iffy.

As I said... I'm going to root for him and hope he's a pleasant surprise

I asked for reassurance from the board... and from the replies I didn't really get much of anything.

    We shall see

Waiter is ten times better than Rondo and Caruso combined when he is not eating gummies. He is more atletic
He played in playoffs with Durant ,he had a few buzzer beaters and he could score like 20 points in less than a quarter

There’s zero hope for any acceptable defense out of IT now, if there ever was. Which is why you ran into a wall with that plan. Highlight clips are out there on Waiters’s thread now juxtaposed with R. Jackson for your own eye tests. If you can’t see similar skills don’t know what to tell you. No worries about attitude in his precarious career position and with this coach, staff and the Vets.

I view it as injury insurance for rondo/Bradley/Caruso and break-glass offense if we can’t get anything going.

I doubt he is more athletic than Caruso or even any “quicker” than Rondo but that doesn’t mean he’s “not” a decent athlete.

Well good I hope so. The highlight clips don’t seem to show elite athleticism or quickness. If not them .... where?

He isn't as athletic as he used to be; injuries do that.

He's crafty, though. And a surprisingly improved spot-up threat.

But we'll see how we integrate, and if he's willing to be flexible with his role.

Dion already helped out. All guards know someone will lose minutes unless quality of play is stepped up. Much more energetic performance.

you live and you learn... somehow I'm skeptical. You f*** up in Miami Heat, which has a culture of discipline.

Ummm doesn't seem the sharpest tool in the shed .... or just really that's not his thing talking to the press. Hope his game is more polished and effective.

Not impressed, nor did I care to watch the whole interview.

what I did not see is someone who came across as humble as expected after being paid 17 mil to go away

He’s realizing he’s got about 2 months to get hot on the gram. Just to be clear, I mean the Gram.
