Credit where it's due - two very good games in a row for Dennis.

If he plays like he did the past two games he'll get more money from the Knicks this summer. :)

    Great back to back games.

Love the way he's attacking downhill.

    Good job.

Another good "3rd option on a championship team" type of game .

Made important plays when we stopped playing and the Suns came back in the 4th

I think he stalls our offense to the point it's non-existent. I don't care how many points he scored. I've witnessed 4 or 5 possessions in the 4th, where he was given the ball and he walked it in, aimlessly dribbled around in cricles only to dump it to Bron with 6 seconds left on the clock.

That's without talking about turnovers by careless handling/passing/pass-receiving.

This means 2 things -- we are getting s***ty looks and Bron has to exert energy when the sole point of Shroeder getting the ball in the first place is to take the load off of LeBron.

You look at his 20 points if you'd like. He cost us, ON OFFENSE, probably half that due to creating bad looks with his "running the offense".

Now, his D is fine, but there is an opportunity cost. We have 2!!! better defenders getting less minutes. We could split his D minutes between Wes and AC and be perfectly fine on O and better on D, due to Dennis being a switch target.

EDIT: Actually 3 better defenders with KCP.

That all might be true, but we are dug in, Dennis has to play and score if we are going to go far. He and AC are our only ball-handling guards, THT doesn’t seem quite ready for the big moments yet, so Dennis will have to play. And he did hit big shots to seal the deal on this one, that’s all I can ask, that and limiting the turnovers. I also love that he got Booker ejected again haha.

You'd be right Weezy, if he did his job as the ballhandling guard. He played 33 minutes to AC's 20. This should be reversed.

Lakers were milking the clock . Overall they like going deep into it , this is the way Lebron likes playing in the halfcourt .

Bad shots and possessions down the stretch happened last season too without Dennis .... with Bron taking some stupid 30 footers ....

I like Carushow but he has his struggles as a ballhandler and is going downhill to pass and can't finish like Dennis.

Not the biggest Schroeder fan but can't complain about his Game 2 and 3

My instinct was to call you crazy for hating on Dennis after back-to-back great scoring games where he was a big part of our wins ... but on second thought, yeah those are some valid criticisms that I had myself watching the game.

In my opinion you’re overstating the extent to which it is a problem, but yeah he’s not a great floor general and seems very absent minded when trying to set the offense.

It’s why I actually don’t really see him as a “PG”, or rather I don’t think that’s the role I want for him on this team. When he’s in there with Lebron, I’d prefer that Lebron runs the offense for the most part. Dennis seems to be best when he’s ultra aggressive in attacking the paint. If he gets in position to try and take someone off the dribble for a lay up, give him the ball and let him attack. But when the game slows down in the half court and we need to set something up, we have one of the best PG’s of all time in Lebron out there. Let him playmake and maybe the attention he draws creates some gaps that Dennis can use to cut to the bucket.

at this point, anyone not named AD or lebron putting the ball in the basket is pretty important.

zen's observations are accurate, and that's why i don't think we should pay him what we wants under any circumstance this offseason, but weezy is correct that this is where we are, and him at least scoring is probably offsetting the negatives.

I'm also not the biggest Schroder fan, but he has already done more in three playoff games than Danny Green did in our entire playoff run last year.

offensively, no doubt. green was a good team defender for for us, though, better than schroder, imo.

but tbh, kcp and matthews seem to be able to replicate his success on that end, too. kcp even caught his inability to make any shot ever!

but yes, good riddance, danny. so glad to see you remember how to shoot in philly. :speechless:

I think Schroder should attack the defense early , when he catches them to sleep for an easy layup or shoot late in the clock if he has to create on his own. It looks like the ball is going to Lebron and AD more earlier in the clock, which of course is our best options for our offense to succeed.

Hilarious how bipolar society is. 90% of the people in here wanted to throw him in acid a few days ago, now he's the greatest since sliced bread.

bipolar or polarized? because i don't think anyone's general impression of schroder has changed much on either side of the debate.

^exactly. I was one of the people who gave him (well deserved) props for the last couple of games. Doesn't mean I don't want him gone after this season, good riddance.

I’m not sure how people feel about Schroder is a sign of society. I just think he stank for a while there. Now he’s playing well. And no this doesn’t change the fact that I don’t want us to pay him more than $20 million a year, which I’d rather earmark to keep AC and THT.

Rondo played bad in the regular season and step up in the playoffs, and now he is a glorified Laker. PS, I don't think Schroder was that bad in the regular season
