Wish we would've hammered out the details of that extension before he was in covid protocols. His slump could've knocked a few pennies off. But our losing streak without him bumped his price back up.
He’s going to make a difference for sure. We miss everything he does - his offense, his energy on defense and his playmaking. AC, for all his qualities, can’t create for others or score as aggressively. When Bron sits, Dennis and Trez need to run the show.
Stating the obvious, without him we are hard pressed to win...what was our record without him (if he missed any games)before his Covid protocol absence? 0-4 at least... and unwatchable Laker basketball
With AD being out, this has given more opportunities for Schroder. Use this time for Bron/Schroder to gel. I am sure the playoffs will be a different story but he still needs to adjust to playing with AD. That's the biggest question mark for me. He brings incredible speed and energy to the team but we also need him to provide that while not being an obstacle to our superstars.
Who scores what between the 3 of them will work itself out as long as good basketball is being played to get good shots. I don’t want Schroder passing up good shots he can easily create (keeps defenses honest) .... to adhere to some pre-conceived number of points % each for Lebron and AD and DS. My hope is he ups his shooting % as he plays going forward for all the various great looks he easily gets in games. Funny how floaters and a great midrange to go with good 3 point range game will do that. And killer driving ability. That said I totally expect him to be constantly looking for the Big Dogs in their best spots. Everyone’s always clamoring here for “less” ISO right?
We're basically unbeatable when Lebron and AD score a ton of points. They're this Laker teams Kobe/Shaq or Kobe/Pau . All the other guys have to sacrifice their offense to get our big guys going. If we win by our Big 2 passing out of double/triple teams I'm all for it but I want our best players to take the most shots and the clutch shots. The team's success rides on our superstars success
We really missed him. I also read (if I remember right) that we are 6-1 with him in the lineup and us without AD. We had been winning ugly without AD, but we were still winning.
Looked like a completely different team with him back. Was impressed with how quickly he shook off any rust. If he stays in attack mode while AD is out, we're going to start winning and I like our chances in the next 8-10 games. Without he and AC picking up the D in the second half (some nice half time coaching from Frank) and shutting down Dame Dolla, we don't win that one.
