At times when he can not make a wide open 3, he somehow can draw so much contact to get the foul while driving and convert an and 1. Nice game.
Dennis came in with 7 min left in the 2nd quarter, and we are down 27 points . He played great defense on Kyrie, and hit timely shots for the rest of the game. We don't win that game without his contributions either.
It's sort of a luxury to have him as a back up PG, he can easily fill into the main PG role when needed.
He is better than last time around. Turning down 80M and then bouncing around some probably necessitated that upgrade in abilities, to some degree. Not saying a whole bunch better, just better. More consistent.
Glad others saw that as well. Denis wants to blame AD for not catching his passes thrown while AD has two guys on his back? He gave up on the play after that, and it looked really bad. He also did what he does all-too-often: lazily telegraphs passes that get picked off.
AD couldn't have saved that pass by meeting the ball. the help read it the entire way. plus, you don't want post guys to come to the ball to catch. why waste the energy getting post position if i'm going to have to jump out to get it? anyway, few guys are slotted up a spot, and that's what happens.
What bothered me more than the horribad entry pass was DS just standing there like a doufas while the Grizz ran a momentum shifting fastbreak the other way. That was Westbook level stuff.
Team chemistry back to bubble times. Bunch of guys with something to prove but still buying into being a team
HUGE of Dennis to play through that clearly nasty ankle roll and come back to have the second half he did. He’s really a finer player now too as I’ve mentioned before than he was 2 seasons ago. Am really enjoying him on the team this year, vet minimum price to have him here not even factoring into that.
Thought he played better after the injury. In the first half, he was not very good. Played a much better, more deliberate second half
DS is a very good backup PG , you have to accept the bad games cause this is who he is : a very good backup PG
