Fixed it. He’s shooting better, adding some nice scoring we needed tonight and playing decent annoying D. Suck it up?
He also stops the ball. We already have one that does that. I'd rather have a different approach when that one isn't handling. No need for a much much worse replica of LeBron. I'd rather have AR handle the ball, instead of standing in the corner when Dennis does. BTW... both Dennis and Nunn mostly ignore anything that isn't their own shot. I find it infuriating. Whatever either takes, Lonnie and AR should probably be the ones taking those shots. Today they went in. Tomorrow they won't, but the style of his game won't change a iota.
Feel like they need to find a way to get Reaves to 35mpg consistently: schroder and Reaves as #1 and #2 at the point honestly seems better and better. Two guys who can run the PnR consistently and play defense
Get this piece of useless crap of my team. I hated him the last time, I still hate him and his game this time. P.S. Same with Nunn.
This will put the ball in AR's hands more. And for D I'd just bring in Christie or something. Addition by subtraction
I think he's giving guys more rope than he should, but he's a rookie coach, so he pretty much has to. Hope he "gets over it" soon, and quits caring if he hurts his stars' feelings or not. Got to call a spade a spade.
Feel like Dennis despite his warts is playing well. Definitely like his full court ability to press and he's playing nice and under control. He's just a legit NBA player with a skillset that is useful: he's the best Laker at taking on bigger player off the drive which has added a nice wrinkle
i thought he was a steal at the minimum, and he was. i think his dumb contract stuff and how the boston thing played out (i don't think that was really about him as much as it was about discovering a formula that worked with their roster), people started focusing too much on his shortcomings. he's a mini MLE level player on a minimum deal, imo.
He's playing like a solid backup at PG which is what he should have been doing the first time around. At vet min instead of $15 million per it is actually a steal. I just think he's a dummy and don't want to see him in there at the end of games. I'd rather have him start at this point than Pat BevMo for sure. But ideally we move Bev and Nunn and eventually Russ and get rid of the logjam/redundancy at the position. AR is best suited as a starter (and closer) with Lebron and AD at this point alongside Walker.
Yeah unfortunately AR's not first or 2nd often enough on most of these guys' lists to pass to. Which is dumb. He'll most often make something good possible to happen with a play for someone else, a good shot taken himself or getting them the ball right back in a better place. He really needs to handle it more often. Just to see the right plays made more damn often than the usual culprits here make them.
