Good lord this is really deflating.

Well... Kuz you wanted to prove yourself... your're going to have the opportunity to be that 3rd guy now with Boogie out.

I know he's undersized for the C spot but I wouldn't mind Kenneth Faried. Guy is a beast.

Was Noah healthy last year? At least he will lay it all out there.

DPE will use up a current roster spot...we won't get a phantom 16th roster spot with it's use.

Also, as you said, we can only bring back a 1.75m player via waiver wire/free agency or up to 1.85m in a player contract via trade.

I just don't see why we works apply for a Boogie DPE, cause the vet min for a 10+ seasoned vet is up to 2.6m anyways.

I think Faried would matchup quite well with Harrell on the Clippers. Lakers have pretty solid rim defense at the 5 with AD and McGee. I think they could benefit from some of that toughness and bruising style of play that Faried brings.

Can we just cut him? Two vet min spots left.

Please god let Iggy get cut. Iggy>boogie imo, more impact

    Sign Noah or nene

he had his moments I guess based on stats he put up...odd tho that no one has picked him up yet, theres quite a good amt of playoff contending teams that could use him

BSPN suggested ,If the Lakers do go the veteran route, my choice would be either Salah Mejri -- a quality pick-and-roll option with the Dallas Mavericks or Nene
That noted, there's a reason these experienced players remain unsigned in August, and the Lakers might be better off exploring younger alternatives. I'd make a call to the Detroit Pistons to see how likely Christian Wood
Are they f***ing nuts or just scared of Lakers

Our biggest weapon was going to be the size we could put out there, that takes a big hit now. Weeks of prep from the coaching staff also gets thrown out the window now.

This blows. Who is even available?

I don't think Boogie makes or breaks our championship aspirations. He would've made the path easier and the load on everyone else. He could've been a shoe in 3rd option.

Whether he wants to play the spot or not, AD can log some C minutes. It shifts everyone a bit. Kuz, obviously. I think it'll mean Bron playing more PF than he was going to. Rondo will get more PT because we need people who can make plays.

Definitely have to make an impactful signing. Won't be able to fill Boogie's shoes, but got to have some more help for McGee.

We shouldnt go with Farried imo. Say Mcgee or AD miss time, we have 1 real big then.

Nene makes sense to me. Can score a bit down low. Was moving feet decently well in the playoffs from what I saw.

Noah is a wild card. More upside b/c of very good defensive potential. But injury concerns, poor offense (besides passing), and possible issues with lebron.

    Any other options?

Mo speighs didnt even play last year and zaza is worse. Dwight is a worse version of mcgee now

Faried did just fine in place of an injured Capela at C for the Rockets last season.
I prefer the talent/production than I am in which player is bigger.
