I thought the rumors were that we called him. Guess we didn't...

Cousins called them. Our fault if anything for not calling.

To be fair they are the champions. That’s what they’re supposed to do. I would expect us to do the same thing and he called them, so they weren’t even looking for him.

I think this is what is pissing me off so much. How we got screwed over with the CP3 trade, but they can have an entire NBA team's worth of a starting five. It's not fair.

Okay come on, let’s reel it in a little. You can’t compare the CP3 fiasco to this. CP was a vetoed trade. These guys are free agents, nothing anyone can do about it. Adam Silver can literally do nothing about free agents. Owners can literally do nothing about free agents. They can cry all they want, but it won’t change a thing.

I dont think you can say Kobe did well after his injury, not to Kobe standard, to everyone else, but it was sad watching him after the injury.

I mean he was still an NBA player. Some of his limitations were also due to age, but yes certainly not the same as he was.

Man, summer league will be the only interesting thing this season. Time for a lockout or a hard cap.
Or some team needs to bring a prince from Saudi Arabia who just s***s money and doesn't give a f***...

LOL. Do these guys have any shame? Or balls for that matter, to put it bluntly? OK, he'll miss half the season, but give me a break. There is no competition anymore.

First of all, I don’t believe the “zero offers” part. We were rumored to have a meeting scheduled with him. And when has Cousins been taken as credible, dude has always been a headcase.

And second, what a baby. Oh nobody wants me, wahhh, oh Steph Curry is excited to have me, I’m in!

Dude went there so he could sit out half a season, come in, be seen on tv ALL through the playoffs, get an easy ring, and then go get big offers based off that next summer. So transparent.

lols this is nowhere near what KD or lebron did

this is a guy coming off the most serious injury you can have, signing for super cheap, and knowing he'll win a ring in a season where he only plays half the games at most

his logic was pretty much why not win a ring in the easiest way possible while rehabbing for that max contract next summer

I'm not really mad at him, but I'm not beating myself up over it either. He's not due back until at least January, now they're saying February.

I'm not sure I'd have chosen Rondo over him (I probably wouldn't have), but it is what it is. That move is not likely to make or break the season.

Combined all nba selections since 2015:

    Warriors starting five: 13

    Entire Eastern conference: 11

    :Kareemlook:

Along the way they probably have a top 3 player at every position in the NBA.

Let's take the best 2 teams in the east: C Bags and 76ere.

Though the Boston C Bags are overloaded with talent, none of their starters would start at GS. Any of Jayson Tatum, Kyrie, Jaylen Brown, Horford and Gordon Hayward could function as Beantown's best player on a given night—but might struggle to crack the starting lineup if playing for Golden State.

Ditto for the Philadelphia 76ers and their emerging tandem of Joel Embiid and Ben Simmons. Embiid might....

But it's amazing. You take the 2 best teams and only ONE player MIGHT start for GS

The 75/76 C Bags also had 5 Allstars in the starting lineup.

Those five C Bags in 1975-76 who were All-Stars the previous season: Jo Jo White, Charlie Scott, Dave Cowens, Paul Silas and John Havlicek

We'll see. I don't think there is a chance of Boogie playing as good as before the injury.

Not a chance. He will also for the first time be a role player who will not have the offense run through him. He will MIGHTILY struggle without a doubt.

But Boogie on one leg... Let's say he averages 16/8...thats pretty much trippling McGees production.

At 5 Mio. GS has no risk whatsoever. If he sucks, ship his expiring azz out. If not GS will abuse every team.

He wont have played enough quality minutes by the deadline to have any value. He's not due back until January or February and he'll be on a minutes restriction then. I think it's more likely he comes back as an awkward fit and sees very limited minutes even when "healthy" especially at first. With an Achilles tear, I'm not sure who he defends on that team. Should be interesting.

I agree no real risk though. It's a smart move for both sides.
