Bronny James should throw him one so Ayton can say he received one from him too. Unless it's happened already...
early advanced stats actually like williams. hey, if we knew williams could play 25-30mpg and in almost every game, we'd have kept him in that trade. we'll see if he makes it through a year. if so, maybe fire whoever made us rescind that trade, tbh.
If he isn't injured and plays this entire season then something is fishy The way that went down and we never got the whole truth
Interesting how much ESPN net points advanced stats hate Rui. Ayton is like a meh which is weird but when you have such high variance I tend to think the outliers have more validity (outside the wide confidence interval)
This. The above comp is very close, outside of Ayton scoring more, and Williams would be scoring more too, next to Luka, Austin, and LeBron. I'm happy with Ayton, but I still think it was a mistake to rescind that trade. Lakers very well could have win a championship last season. We would have gotten by Minnesota, beaten Golden State, and had a legit shot to beat OKC. Despite the hype, they were not a juggernaut last playoffs. They got taken to 7 twice, arguably should have lost both series if not for injuries, and the Lakers showed they can beat them last season. For medical/training staff, I don't think we're very good. Not the worst, not the best, but I don't trust our team, and I hope Walters makes an impact there. We should have hired Casey Smith when Nico made another terrible Nico ego decision and fired him. That's a gift that ended up going to New York, where he somehow made a Thibs team healthy and immediately won Training Staff of the Year. Yeah, I really wonder what the deal was. I don't think it was nothing, but I think our staff spooked easily and was wrong.
bpm hates both rui and especially ayton this year so far. but it's a bit early to put much stock into these things (they aren't even putting out the LEBRON stats yet).
It may be a Bynum type situation where he can be healthy for a given year, but he's on borrowed time in general because there's something wrong structurally that can't be fixed.
Right, it's too early to tell. This lineup with the most minutes (75 min) has one of the best net ratings. M. Smart - D. Ayton - L. Dončić - R. Hachimura - A. Reaves
I think his most impressive stat of the season so far is 70% FG, which is crazy efficiency especially since he's far from just a dunker; he takes mid-range shots all the time.
His ability to rebound is incredible. He's really in putting a hand within the opposition hands and just get there and tap to him or make it a loose ball. Such a massive thing for our team. Really happy with the signing and how he approach it. Hope he keeps it going for the long term I'm actually fine in building with him along with Luka and AR. Because for those 2 I want two defensive wings, so having Ayton offensive output will be very needed.
He was sick the last couple days, but appears that he will play today. Not listed on injury report. (Nobody is, except for Bronny and Adou assigned to G-League since everybody else can play.)
