I don't watch basketball any longer, but I do follow Russell a bit. I also like to box watch on Sabonis. I've been busy with mostly good stuff of late, but I was in the hospital for two days and my cat has been in the ER since December 19th. It's been a rollercoaster. I'm happy for Russell getting a chance to go back to the Nets. He was clearly a bad fit with what this team is doing this year. I think Knecht is legit, and I wish the Lakers a speedy LeBron retirement. Find me in the Other Sports forum :)

I hope and pray that your medical issues are solved and that you can enjoy a healthy new year.

I really appreciate it. I'm good to go (was a cat bite, totally unrelated, apparently, to my cat's illness). Just hoping my cat is on the mend.

I can’t believe Simmons is still getting paid.

nets are a perfect fit for dlo right now

no pressure to perform and coach has him handling the ball. some of the passes he made tonight were beautiful. wouldn't doubt he secures a big bag this offseason

I hope he does well but think he will be lucky to get full MLE money no matter what he does at this point for a couple years with team option.

D-Lo gets 26 mins off the bench: 22 points on 9 for 13 shooting, 8 dimes, and 2 blocks. TOR beat them, 130-113, in TOR.

In TOR's previous game they had lost by 54 to BOS.

    The heat's off D-Lo and he's free!

If you just wanna play stress free ball, with no one paying attention, the Nets are a perfect team to be on.
D-Lo shouldn’t need anymore big paydays moving forward, so a MLE will probably be just fine for him.

11 points 12 assists in 25 minutes of playing time and Brooklyn are up big on Milwaukee .

He's working his way back after that injury. I think he's more likely to have 10 dimes than 30 points even.

BTW, every time this dude misses a game, it makes me miss Kobe even more. Make yourself more effective when you're injured. Get on the court and help your team.

Kobe spoiled us ALL forever. Has there ever been anyone like him in ANY sport that was able to play through the pain and injuries to parts of their bodies that were crucial to the finer aspects of their performance in their sport … and still be effective at least most of the time?

Not a contact sport though, and did he ever play with a splint on fingers of his racquet hand? Reasonably well?

Edit … and I forgot to mention he just blew off ever properly having surgery (I think ever) to re-attach a ruptured tendon in one of his fingers (shooting hand?) because it needed to be done “then” during a season. Insane will to compete and win.

kobe would cringe at the state of today's NBA with guys regularly sitting out games for "soreness" and bruises

I had some disagreements with how Kobe’s thickheadedness when he played but I miss him on my team so much
