Yeah, his footwork is decent for a young big. For me, this is very important in projecting if a 7 footer can have a decent NBA career.

The rookie with the biggest impact on a contender last year was Braun. No one else. And he had DNPs during postseason.

Stop forcing the issue. We shouldn't rely on rookies while we are trying with Lebron's 21st season. It's cool if they ball out and show they're ready like Reaves (who's what, 3 years older than Max?) but it's unusual. And it's completely fine.

Luckily we have now a deep roster where we don't NEED a rookie to ball out. If any eventually do, then give him a shot to show his skills but until then let's ride without it

Looks to be a smart player and very good passer for a young Big. Good sized legs for a guy his height only weighing 225, so he can work on his upper body with the strength guys at the pro level this summer. Yes yes yes .... the leg days too .... don't get your Jockeys in a twist @Kenzo :giggle: ;)

Haha. Im not saying all NBA players should look like prime Mailman or Corey Maggette but if i had access to all these trainers, doctors, equipement and gear, i would at least look like prime Meta or Kobe. No excuses. If Giannis could do it... anyone can do it ;)

    Which (I’m assuming) “guard” spot?

LOL …. if @abeer3 would have kicked Bob Cousy’s a** …. you’d have done the same and made him cry mama. Maybe. :D

Wow! Barely 6’ and could dunk with ease? Man, I’m jealous. I’m 6’2” but only got close to dunking as a teen.

Well I’m 5’11” 1/2 and could touch the rim with a good running start, never had a decent 3 pt shot, shot free throws like Shaq, but played great clutch and grab defense and boarded well for my size. I’d piss you off with the never ending motor and relentless in your face defense.

I’m 6’6 and 245 lbs. I regret not playing basketball as a youngster, played tennis growing up instead. The injuries retired me as I was trying to go pro (blew out my knee - acl, mcl and both cartilages and then had a hip clean out as a result of the over compensation).

What I always admired about basketball was there was always something to work on. Free throws, mid range, 3pt shooting, dribbling, passing, on ball defence, off ball defence, cardio, strength, power, watching film. I was always a hard worker so I would have loved to pour myself into something with so many facets.

my college roommate was about svtzr's size and also didn't play basketball. he's a golf pro now!

i, on the other hand, was about 5'10" 155 at the height of my athletic prime, lol. but i could get way off the floor, hang on rim with no step. was a mediocre shooter but a relentless defender and ballhandling wizard. and yes, my highlight tape is more impressive than cousy's. but no, i probably would not have made the local juco squad.

When i went to the gym for the first time (i was about 16) i remember that i wanted to try the same weights as the regular members. I benched 250lbs, squat was 350 and deadlift north of 400. Some people were shocked, i thought it was lightweight :D
If i was 6'5 i would made a living playing ball (or football if i was born in the States).

There was a bunch of undiscovered talent on this board being held back by discrimination and societal norms. It's really a shame when you think about it, but thankfully now that we have a quota system, a few of us get the chance to shine and have family life changing wealth.

You benched 250 and squatted 350 at 16 years old in your first visit to the gym?

Yup, i did some weights before but, some light (basement stuff). Maxed out at around 340/480/520 after 4 years i think, got bored though.
I trained with Jaroslaw Dymek and Slawomir Peda so there was no f*****ng around ;)
I haven't touched weights in years now but im fairly sure i would be close to my initial (16yo) weights.

Yeah I bet other guards didn't like taking charges who were mostly all still skinny that young, or you absorbing contact wasn't much of a problem.

Late 90's in Poland... i got decked once... or 10 times. A hell of a lot roided up guys running around (mostly Bulls fans). I wasn't the biggest but i was one of the strongest guards and def. most relentless. I always had a "puke bucket" behind the bench LOL
