He looks a little bigger and stronger up top. Buried that first 3 attempt with nice form. I hope they want and encourage him to be more aggressive scoring the ball. His big, coordinated and has some skills. These guys though need a green light or they’re not wanting to piss the coach off for anything outside their little role box and lose minutes.
Those that were judging Colin based on the pathetic minutes he got last season are going to be pleasantly surprised. Hopefully, they will admit it...lol. It is easy to tell who uses numbers and who actually watches.
again, only watched the first few minutes tonight, but he got scored over twice and traveled on an indecisive dho action. not great, toklat.
Still needs to develop a counter or two to his methodical post moves. I would like to see a jump hook too.
I think he has a lot more on offense but as have said before he needs a green light to go ahead and use it. May be wrong but I expect that much more from Redick than Ham.
Hoping this is direction this coaching staff is going to work Developing our young guys gives us cost controlled players so we can have the big salaries for the right players
He does those things and more. Sets good picks, helps keep the offense moving, solid rebounder and can start a break off a rebound. Shooting is coming along, being sold way short by most, which at the proper time I will be glad to point out. The same crew that doesn't like Max and didn't like AR will be exposed once again. They know who they are...lol.
i liked AR immediately. i'm probably on the positive side on max relative to the forum opinion distribution. i'm not seeing it with castleton, though. the lakers are, though, as they've already re-upped him. i hope he can be what you think.
The main thing with Colin is that his strengths are just what we need. I look at each player and how they pair up with AD. Colin has a high bball IQ. AD tells Colin what needs to be done. Colin says, "you got it Hoss." and gets it done. Colin hasn't had a ton of court time so patience will be needed but the skills are there.
I don't think he fits well with AD. Their quite "similar". We need a big who's strong to fight bulky centers in the posts and rebs. We need a good screener. We need a center who can hit the 3. Castleton only has the last one in his skillset. This is all pointless anyway, until Castleton proves he deserves to be with the big guys. He's worse than Huff right now, and Huff couldn't find a spot in the league yet I like his skill with the ball, ability to attack the basket and rebound & run. But he should be dominating g-league and summer league to show he needs a spot. With our lack of roster spots, he has an excellent opportunity of cracking the rotation with our huge need at the 5
