He and Reaves have really similar solid looking legs, not a lot of definition up top, are close in age, dribble behind their backs and have the same agent …. and are probably “half bros” from one of their Moms or Pops fooling around with one of the other’s.

Would like to see Colin with his hands up more on D. Not at Julius Randle level down :D but he needs them up more. Would be low quality footage but Bill Walton in his prime would be a nice study.

Dude is capable with more practice of being a rotation player at some point (when needed). Guys with that size and base and his skills don’t grow on trees. Can set blockades with his handoffs and picks on the best of them. Looks MUCH more hygienic than Huff as a bonus. :giggle:

he doesn't look outclassed out there, which is a positive. can't see a scenario where he plays his way into the rotation without major injury issues preceding it.

I thought he looked pretty slow and predictable on offense, but admittedly, I only caught the highlight reel.

Again just a preseason game but Colin made the game winning plays. IMO here at LB our younger guys are usually undervalued compared to most sites.. A couple years of work we are going to have a young Marc Gasol on our hands. Many were laughing at MG when he first got drafted.

I'm already a fan of Castleton, but I'll be shocked if he ever reaches Marc Gasol territory.

But most were shocked Marc reached MG territory. I know it is a stretch but to me it is more realistic than the low end most are trying to put on him.

Mark was drafted after he became world champion and got silver medal at Europe for Spain. At that time he was considered better than Pau who never won any playoffs series at Memphis.
    Nobody was laughing at him

Marc was a “pudge” when we drafted him. No way he was considered better than Pau. Why do you think everyone went nuts about it?

I didn't recall any int'l play at that point, but I probably wasn't paying attention. The youngest Gasol was supposed to be the best of the bunch, but injuries derailed him.
Let's hope Whitecastle stays healthy and develops into a nice surprise. Hey, even Zubac territory isn't bad.

Mark and Scola were best in FiBA basketball, but it was almost impossible find streams at that time,so nobody knew how they played

Doesn't change what I said though. Took him a couple of years to get in NBA shape and start becoming a force. Pau was rookie of the year when he came in and helped us immediately obviously. Pop went ballistic and I'm sure he was aware of Marc.

I'm not dissing Marc at all. He was a great player. I'm just referring to Laker fans perception of him when drafted. The jokes rolled for some time and it took a while for him to shake them. Then of course Pau had immediate success with the Lakers.
