i continue to be a heavy swider doubter. just doesn't do anything other than shoot, and even that can't happen quickly enough to pay dividends in the league. he has to work harder than he has to make a life playing ball in the US a reality. even overseas, he has to be a better defender. doesn't have to get physically quicker over there, but has to show better instincts/interest. anyway, again, glad he's not our project. pippen, too.
yeah, we have three two-way contracts: castleton, hodge, and fudge. pippen played for the spurs in summer league i think? he may eventually make the league as a third string pg, but he just never impressed me. too small to play his game in the league.
wasn't sure if he was just on the Gleague roster or not. I don't think I had heard anything for some reason, but if he wasn't showing progress, then you gotta do what you gotta do.
i think he played fairly well in the g league, but again, he's just not big enough to be a meh shooter and not be a great athlete. he's tough/strong and seems pretty sharp, so maybe if he keeps plugging he'll find a role somewhere. i just think there are better development opportunities, and apparently our scouts agreed.
