He looks how many expected, super inefficient like he’s been for years. He’s the older Iverson of small forwards. 11 points on 5-15 shooting, 0-8 from 3, and that’s not even to mention how bad he is on defense. There’s a chance he turns it around over time, but this is how I remember him in OKC and Houston as well. Sometimes when your game is reduced down to you only being able to do one thing anymore and you can’t even do that efficiently, it makes sense why you didn’t have a job.
I'm glad hes back...he may not be the melo of old but hes def still good enough to play in the association. just think- there are guys like mike muscala still employed
that's great to see. a dude that said he still wanted to play, and was ready when called upon. J Crossover should get a call soon I hope. He's not done yet.
Another efficient night with a ridiculous +/- and yeah yeah it’s against bad teams like the Bulls & Okc, but that’s kinda the point. Dude would eat off bad teams and help relieve some of the stress for our stars during the regular season. Meanwhile Bron/AD gave us all Hart attacks tonight vs a bad team and Elmer stays glued to the bench.
He’s exactly what Portland has needed all these years. The third shot creator/scorer behind Lillard and CJ. It took them this horrible start to the season to finally fill that role.
Anthony needed a team that would take a chance on him, while the Blazers were in desperate need of a power forward and alternative scoring options to Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum. However, there was constant contact between Anthony and LeBron James about getting the 10-time All-Star to join the Los Angeles Lakers. Anthony was asked about other potential teams he could’ve joined and some of the talks he had with best friend LeBron James. “There were a lot of teams that I thought I was going to be on,” revealed Anthony. “As far as LeBron goes, it’s something we’ve talked about since we were in high school. It wasn’t in his power. Some people might say it was in his power. But it’s not something that I was calling him and talking to him about, asking him, ‘Can you do this for me?’ I would never put him in that position because a lot of times it’s deeper than that, and I started understanding the business of basketball.” But I thought Bron didn't want him here and preferred Dudz instead. If Lebron wanted him here, he'd be here. Just because Melo says it doesn't mean it's true. Just because Lebron says it doesn't mean it's true. He's where he needs to be to succeed, and I'm happy for him. We all wanted Elmer Fudd instead lol. Yeah, I got nuthin
Hahaha. udleyattitude: I personally think it was ego trippin in that he didn’t want Bron’s help to get the gig. But I do think you’re on to something with the starting spot he ended up getting. It’ll be interesting to see if it sticks when Zach and Nurk get back. If it doesn’t, Melo is a nonguaranteed deal if he’s waived by Jan. 7th.
right. we couldn't and shouldn't have offered melo the role he has and wanted. so who cares? good for him that he's contributing; good for portland that it's helping them. it's no skin off the lakers' back, though.
Who cares??? Maybe Bron (with all that carrying on his back) and AD (with him shoulder’n the load) do. Dudz ain’t doing diddly for us. Y’all act like he needed to hold Bron/AD/Rondo/a staff consisting of 3 HC’s hands in keeping the locker room kosher. Didn’t the brochure state dude was a team cancer doe? Man, I guess they do blaze up in Portland. Hey, but it’s for medicinal use, right?
