All this game showed me is how incompetent Byron is. The kids can really play, but Byron has somehow done a remarkable job of hiding that in the first 21 games. Or at least, trying to hide that.

Can't say that BS (why didn't I think of using this earlier) deserves credit for this. Like Weezy said, he was sort of forced into playing Russell and Randle to finish the game. I still don't understand some of his rotations, everyone ended up paying around 20 or more mins, thats not gonna cut it.

Kobe told Byron to let the young kids finish the game.

The funny thing is that I guess Byron is too stupid to realize is he can still play D'Angelo and Julius with the second unit. I'd actually like that because we don't have a true backup point guard outside of Huertas and really he's at best a third stringer in this league imo. Randle's energy and athleticism on the break is a perfect fit for that unit.

Start them and take them out at about the five minute mark of the first quarter.

I'm shocked at this and the other comment a few posts up. He wasn't saying anything like this a couple days ago, or even after the game when he was saying he still needs to see this from Russ and Randle over and over. Makes me see a pinhole of light at the end of the tunnel, like maybe Mitch really did sit him down and tell him how things are gonna be. Man I can only dream.

Like I said in gametime, Mitch probably called Byron into his office and glared at him for an hour. Message received.

Well if it's true it took Kobe to get these rooks the late minutes, then this guy is certifiable after the s**t storm he created I expected him to backpedal a little and give them more minutes (though I figured he still leave them out of the starting unit, that would be losing too much face).

Really proud of DAR and JR for not caving in because of this guy and playing hard.

I hope his preferred time frame of 2nd half of the season goes the way of his Bass / Kelly bigs lineup "for next 10-15 games". Done in like 1 more game. A-hole! This demoting to 2nd string with cut minutes crap is so wrong in so many ways.

Every single player on our team (minus Sacre because he sucks regardless), would look better under a different coach.

It's real obvious from Byron's post-game quotes that this decision came down from Mitch. No way he would have let the young guns finish the game out like that, no way. He's way too dumb for that.

No way we get that lucky. I'd take Brandon Ingram or Jaylen Brown too and drool. None of it matters if Boron is still in the driver's seat. It can be a Ford Pinto or a BMW i8. Either one, Byron will wrap it around a tree within 10 minutes of getting the keys.

I missed the game last night due to other plans. This looks like a game worth watching. Anyway so Mitch or Kobe made Boron play the kids in the 4th quarter? Good if that's the case.
