I'm getting really close to the cachooka Lakers viewing experience. I'll box score watch and catch some highlights if we win or if some players have great nights.

Philly, while being less talented ranked 13th in defense last year. I could watch their games and get an idea of what they are doing and the purpose behind it.

I don't know what we are doing offensively and our defense is very poorly executed. The talent represents a 30 win team at the very least.

Well after 4 games I know this they ain't DVR material if I'm busy doing something else. Too bad I had high hopes, This team needs a teacher, a basketball guru, go get Larry Brown for a year or two, waiting will just delay the growth of this team.

I'm on the east coast. I'm definitely not going to keep staying up until 1:00 am to watch these games and then having to spend an additional hour or so being angry afterward.

I love out outspoken he is about his cluelessness. Like seriously, this would be almost impressive if it weren't so depressing. Yes, Byron, please keep "not worrying about Kobe" and fighting for this team to scrape out 25 wins this season rather than 20. That's clearly what's wise for this franchise's long-term health.

    Just...wow. I'm speechless.

I get the logic, albeit greatly flawed, from his perspective. He thinks wins will translate into job security. I hope management is on a different page, but one would think that would've been discussed at lengths with this clown. Develop these kids for the long term benefit of the team. A 40 win season this year, which he won't get us anywhere close to, won't get us into the playoffs and will do nothing for this team going forward. Benching the young guys for Kelly and the like won't do us any good.

I'm on the east coast, too. I watch until halftime, then go to bed. when I get up, I watch on dvr until it's obvious they're going to lose.

I think he believes that winning is conducive to individual player development and that losing isn't. I get that. I hate what philly's doing, despite what brett brown seems to be trying to do in the face of management's obvious sabotage job (it's like watching "major league" again). you can't create a "winning culture" while losing in non-competitive fashion. so Byron is trying to win as much as he can. that is, after all, the point of the game. and this year, given the pick's terrible protection, it's even more sensible. where Byron (granted, a seasoned basketball pro) and I (not) disagree is how to go about doing this.

my annoyance with the game last night was watching mudiay play with freedom and responsibility (and tons of awful mistakes) and his team winning anyway. lou Williams made it so that you lost by 10 instead of 20. if lou Williams is winning you ballgames, play him. he's not. now, if Byron came out and said, "lou's doing what we're asking and Russell's not", ok. but I don't think that's it.

Who can blame you? On another note, at least your Raiders are doing well.

Yeah and I was ready to shell out some cash but with Russell obviously not ready, JC and Randle are not enough
