f*** you, coach. Your approach and methods don't work. Glad you get your kicks from crushing the psyches of our young guys in the media and benching them without any rhyme or reason. You're not a great coach who knows how to successfully use mind games with your players (like a Phil Jackson). Nor do you balance it out with praise or positive feedback for their successes.

I can't believe he actually said that. Did he? I mean, I didn't think I could be surprised by the stupid things dripping out of Byron's pie hole, but this one is so asinine...I can't imagine any boss, coach, etc. admitting to the press that he likes to troll his employees in public to see how they react. I know it was just one page ago, but Sirron needs to repost Byron's head being blown off again.

So I hate my job right now and I think my company is mismanaged. Most of my upper management doesn't communicate their expectations or timelines to anyone else. At the top, there is incompetence and a lack of concern for the quality of our product. In the middle and bottom, we have good, talented people desperately trying to do their best and deluding themselves into believing that their work means something. It IS crushing my psyche ... but maybe I need that?

Would I prefer to have more engaging work that gives me more practical experience? Sure. But I don't. And in the meantime I'm soaking in the experience that I need in terms of growing up and understanding how the real world works. So when I eventually move onto a new job that IS engaging, offers practical experience, and managed well, it's going to be much easier for me to passionately buy into the new leadership since I've been so frustrated dealing with the opposite.

I wanted to try to work in a tanking analogy to further express why I don't really mind Byron this year anymore, but I don't think there is a draft lottery in the real world that's going to reward my CEO for running the company into the ground :D

Every single time there are media members around B0ron and they can get quotes from him, he says something stupid. And to be be fair, if he doesn't, we'll get something stupid he said or did out of one of the players whether directly or indirectly. Like Russ saying the other day that they were running an entirely new offense in a game that they had learned that day. That's really stupid, and while he didn't say that, it was to me implied.

These are the things I don't understand.

D'Angelo Russell is hot right now in the third quarter, hits a three to force BK to call a timeout and what does Scott do? HE BENCHES RUSSELL FOR HUERTAS. THERE'S SIX MINUTES LEFT IN THE THIRD.

    WHY. LET HIM F'ING PLAY.

This pisses me off. It's like he's intentionally trying to not develop our young players.

So I watched the full game for the 1st time in a couple of weeks. Could someone explain to me how we managed to implement a modern offensive set on the fly?

Byron implemented it the day before the last game. The only reason it looks so great so soon is because Russell had an awesome game. The game before it looked good, but not great.

Byron implemented it saying he "wants to get ready for next year" aka he is desperately trying anything to save his job at this point including modernizing his offense despite more than a season and a half of the crap he was trying to run before.

We managed to implement it on the fly because Russell is a stud and a "modern" NBA player. Russell would have been in the ROY talk had, purely as an example, D'Antoni been the coach. Not saying I want D'Antoni, but that's how bad Byron has been and how detrimental the system has been to Russell's game.

Seeing him play last night compared to day one was so night and day that I think the transition still would have been a little while, but the timeline would have sped up so damn much. Remember this game against Orlando?

That was all the way back mid-way through November. We should have seen him explode after that. I was wrong when I said he'd take a year or two to really get going, it should have been only a month or two. Instead there's only a month left in the season and we're seeing this. It's too late to make a huge splash in FA for us. Thanks Byron.

Raise your hand if you've truly come to hate the sight of Scott's face? So much of the time because of the crap coming out of his mouth blaming everything on the "young guys" and him and his Showtime cronies absolving himself of any blame. Plus undeniably he ruined and doomed this season. We had such an improved roster, youth and declining Kobe notwithstanding. Turned it into another f****** tank.

It's bad when one of the most optimistic guys on the site is livid. Damn. 20 more games, man. We're almost through it.

This is my least favorite part. I love all those old players, they're hometown heroes. Watching them bend over backwards to support Byron has tarnished their image this year. It's sad to see.

You are absolutely right. They have really destroyed their credibility on future issues. It is hard to take people like that seriously. It is messing with my show time image of these guys.
