I'm really disappointed that Byron had to call out the players' terrible play. He's a former coach of the year, and we're running around masquerading as an NBA franchise with 2nd tier talent. He must be pretty frustrated.

Kobe should have taken the blame first. If he shot just 9-24, we win. That's pathetic.

Kelly and Bass couldn't properly execute the big man wrinkle we threw at the Timbervolves, (Something NO OTHER COACH in the history of Western Civilization would be daring enough to come up with--seriously, how do you game plan against that kind of genius?), and we lost the lead. Neither one of them took the blame.

DAR didn't attack as the off guard.

I could go on and on. Not even Sacre or Black were willing to take blame. I mean Huertas, seriously? You had no impact on the game.

Why WOULD you bother calling a time out at the end if none of your players can execute your brilliant offensive and defensive schemes?

We'll be lucky if Byron is even willing to finish out his contract with the cards we've dealt him. Just so very unfair.

Must win? It's game 2 of 82. No such thing as a must win this early.

Every game is a must win as long as we aren't tanking.

When you are as mediocre as we are, every game against competition on our level or below us is must-win. That is the only way we will look respectable at the end of the season, and hopefully more appealing to free agents. We won't look as appealing with another sub-30 win season though, IMO of course.

We have one of the easiest schedule the first 10-15 games of the season. If we can't win these game, just flush the season down the toilet. So yes, this game is a must win.

If you hope to make the playoffs, and I do, you can't afford to give any games away that were winnable.

That's why that one hurt. The guys really let Byron down on that one.

I get that, but a loss tonight doesn't mean the season is over. The Lakers still have plenty of time to establish themselves and improve over the course of the season.

I'm not drinking any liquor and I still believe the Lakers have a shot at the playoffs. The West is very strong at the top, but the seventh and eight seed are pretty much up for grabs imo. Portland will likely be on the outside looking in with Aldridge's departure. Dallas losing out on Jordan, losing Chandler once again as well as Ellis is gonna take a step back. New Orleans as great as Anthony Davis is he just doesn't have a lot of help.

Like I said it's game 2. For most of that game we looked much better than a season ago and like a lot of young teams we fell apart. This is gonna be a growing and a learning process. I still believe the talent is in place to make a run at the postseason.

The schedule always evens out. Yeah we have to win some of these games, but I don't think anyone can realistically expect the Lakers to win every game against a sub.500 team. Even last year and the year prior we won some games against some of the better teams in the league.
