Basically they're experimenting with Stem Cells (not fetal cells) as a means of recovery. They say they've been able to repair damaged spines with the technology as well as treat autoimmune diseases. It's pretty interesting stuff and pretty promising science.

That was my question though. I get he's out for the season. Is a tear or torn complete separation from the bone of the tendon. Such as the term ruptured would imply? I'm guessing yes. But if not it makes Doc Brown's plan above potentially even better.

Ruptured and torn are the same thing. The difference might be degree of tear (as in some pieces are still attached) or avulsion fracture (which means the tendon was ripped off the bone either in conjunction with or as a function of the rupture).

Boogie's is completely torn and his recovery will be a long one. I've seen timelines say 6-10 months, but that's for him to be back on a court working again with "full" strength. That doesn't account for the psychological turnaround and of course many Achilles tears are followed with a separate Achilles tear of the opposite foot due to kinetic chain imbalances and overuse.

I'm honestly still not 100% off the Boogie train and I expect New Orleans to offer him a max level deal for 2-3 years.

Pretty sure you can’t trade for a player out for the year and then request a medical exception

Plus, we’re not in the running for the playoffs, and our young guys need developing. I don’t see the point if I’m management. (Unless you found a diamond in the rough somewhere)

He was horrible tonight, horrible. Yanked 1 1/2 minutes into the 3rd, never played again, deservedly so. I’m looking forward to him being gone. He’s soft, slow, little mistakes turn into avalanches with him, it doesn’t just snowball out of control. It’s easy to see why the Nets never did jack with him as their best player, hollow stats like Love and the Wolves, only worse.

Feels like BroLo is getting the D'Antoni-Pau treatment tbh.

he's on the downward spiral of his career

going to be 30 in a few months. 10 years in the league as the only guy on crappy nets teams. getting older and slower in a league that's getting faster

not exactly a recipe for success

Gotta play better and with all those wide open shots, you're getting.... come on man.

I can't imagine how he would be and hold up mentality if he had Kobe of 2006 yelling at him.

He finally said “enough” in the 3rd, started bombing threes, taking it in the paint. If he’s going to be with us til the summer, I’d like to see more post game from him. I’d like to see him freakin demand the ball down there more, be a little selfish and as our vet, command some respect. Didn’t like late in the 4th in this game when he was rolling and Randle and JC were trying to pass anywhere else but to him, only relenting with like 5 seconds left on the shot clock. Monster block late on Allen too.

He will always be lumbering but he'd be so helpful for this team if he was always this aggressive.
