He had a couple plays to start but then turned to garbage when he returned. I feel bad for Lopez because I liked the move and I don’t think it’s just an example of a guy putting up numbers on a bad team the last few years. His head is messed up. Hopefully some downtime will give him a chance to ease his mind and figure out how to be effective (in limited minutes) when he returns.
Hate to see a guy go down with an injury. Bummer but it happens. Now I'd like to see some experimentation with the starting lineups. Try out Randle at starting 5 with Kuzma at 4 for example.
I read an interview from basketball insiders (might have been Pincus actually) and it's clear that Lopez is pressing and uncomfortable in this role. He's a 10 year vet and a former All-Star, a guy who put up 20 points a game, and he's playing 20 minutes and asked to do just a very small set of things that aren't necessarily his strengths. I think the fanbase has been really hard on him, especially since he's been such a professional about this. It was disheartening to see so many people happy about his injury. With him out, I hope you're right: get some rest get your head right. Let's see what Thomas Bryant or Ivica Zubac can do now.
Brook Lopez had an MRI confirm a moderate ankle sprain in his right ankle. Lopez will be reevaluated in 3 weeks.
I hate to say it...we'll be better from him going down. Get Randle 36mpg please. Also, do not start Bogut. I would start Randle and not overthink this and then activate Zubac.
Everything happens for a reason... Sorry Brook, i wanna party with you but your butt needs to man up. Get well.
Its an ankle lol... Its okay to low key celebrate someone else getting a shot/more minutes for Randle.
