He'll take the reduction in pay next year to play with 2 All-Stars, IMO. He's an All-Star caliber center. Imagine having 3 of our starting positions with All-Star Caliber/Top 10 players. Been a while...
I have a hard time believing that Bogut was acquired due to a minor back injury that could keep Lopez out of a few preseason games. It's always good to have veteran big man insurance and while Lopez may very well miss some time at some point this season, I wouldn't read too much into this minor back injury quite yet.
Bogut just got approved for running, but hasn't touched a ball in a year. And he was slow as Mozgov back then, so it's not a move that's going to help us early in the season, as he will probably take months to round into shape. At least Deng will have a vet to keep him company on the bench.
Awwww man ..... you're being a I was still on a high with the HERO track from realdeal's Bogut highlights.
Bought did play last season, it's only been since I believe March when he was injured. He played 20-some games for the Mavs, around 20 minutes per, only put up 3 points, but did also put up 8.4 boards and 2 assists in that time too.
Yes, I've got an uneasy feeling in my stomach because of this news but he's still working out and getting shots up according to this recent video post today
If anything they want to play it safe, want to have the ability to rest the guy some nights without worrying if there is anyone competent behind him. Bogut does just that.
Wonder who that is with back to us in opening frame of the clip there guarding Kuzma? I mistakenly thought it was Lopez elsewhere in a photo (back side again) guarding Julius going up for a right handed jump hook. Practice fodder dude?
btw, i was going to be really impressed with that move and finish, but on second view, it appeared to be part of a drill, not real game action.
And that's another concern. Bringing Bogut in now and Lopez and Caruso and Zu ..... where's sirron with the necessary "math" the FO needs to take into consideration?
