    ingram's doing about how i expected. then again, i was the one in here asking people to chill on the durant comparisons this summer.

    wiggins was one of the most highly anticipated draft choices in the last decade, and a #1 overall pick. ingram is a late bloomer who was only sort of on the map even partway through his freshman season. most importantly, though wiggins was also skinny, he was much more nba-ready from a physical standpoint in his first season. it's going to take two full years before we have a good sense of where ingram is headed, imo.

    the optimist in me keeps saying: skinny kawhi leonard. unlikely to be a 25ppg scorer, but likely to score between 15 and 20 while playing great individual and team d and doing lots of little things on both ends. there are different ways to be really good.

    Well he's definitely not the player I expected. I thought he'd be a great shooter but he's been a great defender. I slightly prefer the latter so all is good.

    I find it strange anyone would look at Ingram and think "he should be better than this". You all realize he's a 6'9" kid who is 19 years old with guard-like vision passing the ball, a good jumper, and makes great decisions with the ball? How many other kids fit that bill? He's smarter than almost any other rookie I've seen play this year. He's got the makings of an elite defender to boot.

    Three years from now he's either a better Tayshaun Prince or the next Paul George/Kawhi Leonard type. Emphasis though on the timeline.
