That's not for sure. That's your assumption and yes the Sixers might have won another game or two if they had a professional on the roster. Just like we're winning an extra game or two because we've got professionals on our roster. You think we'd be 7-5 right now without Deng, Mozgov, and even guys like Calderon and Huertas around? I hope not, because that's really missing the whole point of this season. That's missing the whole point of the off-season too. I'm not sure I can provide much better evidence either. The Sixers are worse than us. We're better than we were last year. There's lots of other factors, but one of the clear ones really needs to be noted as veteran leadership.

LOL at Mozgov physically throwing Twiggy back into position on the perimeter defense Tuesday night late against the Nets when he mistakenly wandered over toward Moz's guy.

Lol, that was funny... didn't diagnose the play before it occurred but I thought it was more so Moz setting the D and wanting BI on a certain guy.

Loving Luke trusting him in crunch time and BI taking on the challenge. Great confidence boosters too, work hard on D and you can take some shots no matter the outcome.

I still don't get the "Tiny Dog" nickname, I think it's terrible, somebody has to come up with something better. Tiny Dog isn't gonna catch on, and it's not something you're gonna want to be called in the prime of your career later on when you're ballin. "Tiny Dog drops 50!". "Tiny Dog with the monster jam!". Just..no.

My take is it's only for now. Usually you hear, "Big Dog". With "twiggy" .... it's Tiny Dog. Just for now. Affectionate mocking by teammates. [IMG]

Bad a** nickname by teammates to be determined.

Or .... my take is not accurate. His teammates gave it to him for realz.... I'm with you Weezy .... hope they change their minds and come up with something better.

I'm liking his D but he's not as far along offensively as I thought he would be.

Playing off the ball has been difficult for him to adjust to. It will take some time.

From what I saw of him in college (I didn't watch much NCAA ball, but I watched the most of him and Sabonis), he played off the ball quite a bit and was disengaged a decent amount.

    BTW, Sabonis is good.

It seems to me like he's not used to defenders closing out on him so quickly. His shots seem rushed because he's not getting the spacing he got in college. It'll probably take a few months.

It is difficult to finish your offensive moves if you are bouncing off of people that weigh a hundred pounds more than you

I like Mr Fantastic, provided Marvel doesn't sue me, it captures his incredible wingspan and quick smothering D, and the potential of what he can provide. I have never been a fan of the tiny dog, or lotus flower (for Julius) names that you would cringe to use among other fans. I wouldn't even call deng, dung in mixed company so to speak.

He has to start hitting some of his open shots. He will get stronger and finish those drives that he's been making...but the perimeter shots is where we thought he would be better than Ben Simmons and so far, he's been atrocious from basically anywhere on the court.

Good thing is...he's a hard worker...and he will improve. Maybe not at the rate that we all thought but there's no pressure to be that yet especially with how we've started the year (and it seems that we got offense covered with Randle, Russell, Clarkson and Lou).

Ingram can carve out a role for us if he focuses solely on D. That's what we need from him and that's where he can help us the most.

Clearly, Brandon was not as far along as expected.

The expectations were that he can already score around 15 ppg in the NBA but struggle rebounding, defending etc. Clearly thats not the case and he is a project.
Of course he will be better next season and the season after etc...but it does kind of slightly limit his ceiling.

I know the KD comparisions...but looking at a guy like Wiggins, who at 21 is averaging close to 30 ppg and playing really good defense...I do kind of ask myself will Brandon do that in 2 years? I'm not sure.

Readiness doesn't limit a ceiling, but he's definitely not quite what we were hoping for out of the gates.

Wiggins and BI situations are completely different .

Lakers have a very balanced offense and BI is mostly playing with 2 scorers off the bench .

He doesn't have the same opportunites to put up and brick shots as Wiggins has/had ... far from it .

Tougher to improve your offensive skills in BI case
