why is it that Ingram, Zo and the likes gets blamed for not winning, they're doing their part....look at Pelicans highly paid players like Holiday and Favors, doing jack squat but oh "ingram isn't doesn't play winning ball regardless of his stats"....yea the guy shooting 52% from the floor as a perimiter player, while also hitting 50% from 3's is isn't playing "winning" ball

 

Couldn't agree more. This argument is being overused constantly on all BB forums and IMO doesn't make a lot of sense in most of the cases. It is a team sport, there is more to winning than particular player's performance or them playing "winning basketball". There were not so many players in the hostory of this sport who could turn a losing franchise into a winning one by themselves.

Ingram will be fine, if he can keep up the good perimeter shooting, that will open things up for him tremendously.

 

I mean, as soon as they’re putting up numbers on winning teams, people will shut up. And not even title teams—just “not horrible” will do.

I’m good with honest appraisals across the board. I don’t think my takes on these guys are colored by affiliation; I just don’t see how Ingram and ball look much different now other than bigger roles. I guess ingram’s canning more threes, but that’s a small sample size.

the Lakers are clearly bad at development and have a bad atmosphere for young players, but some of the onus has to fall on these guys, too.

 

I don't know about onus as far as Ingram is concerned. I always thought he has been developing nicely. Not as fast as we would like him to, but there were not so many players in NBA history who would make Lakers fans happy at his age and plugged into the team we had for the last couple of years. There was never any doubt in my mind BI will be a star in this league.

 

i liked ingram; i just didn't see him as a star. still don't.

Ingram out of all 3 #2 is the only one that cared bout pure bball, Dlo wanted the lime light and his name to shine but didn't put in the necessary work, Zo may or may not have put in the work but his off court crap of promoting his brand did him in the same way. This is why I valued Ingram most out of those 3, only 1 who cared purely bout bball

 

ingram was clearly the only one who wasn't a bit of a headcase. i'm glad he's playing well consistently in NO so far. i think that city/organization fits and will embrace him. don't think that could ever have really happened in la. too many expectations.
