Same here. We’ve kept him out of trade talks for multiple good players.

He needs to reward the team for having so much faith in him. I like him but I’m ready for the conversation around him to move from just talking about potential to consistent performance on the court.

I thought he was playing fairly well until the suspension.

I'm not ready to give up on this kid... and he is a kid. I keep seeing flashes and I think he'll put it together.

Honestly, I'd like to see this lineup:

    Javale
    LeBron
    BI
    Hart
    Rondo

I think our defense would be better and it seems that BI could play the role that Kuzma has been playing with LeBron.

I like Kuz but man his defense is just absolutely horrendous. Again, if one scores 20 but one gives up 25... he shouldn't be playing because it's a net negative.

i agree with all the criticism but I honestly think its the system/coaching. IMO say for example if he was in Bos, I could easily see him doing what Tatum is doing....its fine to trade him for star but dont trade him just cause he's struggling, I really dont think he's another Dlo. This trade we will REGRET.

Wow, I’ve never agreed with you more. I expect more out of BI, but i don’t put this all on him, we have a terrible offensive scheme, if you can call it that. He also missed 4 games, something seems off with him, that could be part of it, plus adjusting to a LeBron team. I don’t know if he will be a star, but I agree we will regret it if we trade him just to trade him, to get like shooters to put around an aging LeBron. I could see regretting trading him big time a few years from now, that frame has so much potential. But, if star/all-star player can still Ben had for him, he probably shouldn’t have the untouchable tag on him anymore, he might even flourish somewhere else and both teams win.

Not a bad lineup but Rondos defense has actually be subpar. He really hasn't been an elite defender since he was a C bag

I don't think it has been that bad... the other night in a win against Portland I thought he did really well. There were a couple of ticky tack calls that went against him but I thought he did well.

10 Lakers Stats through 10 Games

Just read this article and basically we have the same idea and reasoning except he has Lonzo instead of Rondo.

This group should start for 5 games and see how they fare.

I know pre-season wasn't enough time to figure things out but it should've given Luke a baseline on the lineup that works, this is just poor coaching with poor practice habits. Luke either doesn't have them practice hard or they're practicing bad habits thus leading to Luke to still not be able to evaluate a solid lineup of starters/bench.

I'm giving him a pass because of the suspensions... I hope we see that lineup soon.

I’ve been a huge supporter of BI, but I must admit he’s been lackluster so far. It appears he’s been trying to prove he can be a reliable outside shooter. Sadly, he’s not. He needs to play HIS game. Attack the rim with reckless abandon and shoot the midrange jumper. I don’t care if it is redundant to Lebron’s game. D-Wade and Lebron had similar games and made it work.

I would like to see BI come off the bench and play 30 min. Put hart back in the starting lineup. Let BI abuse 2nd units for a while and he can get his mojo back. Plus he can handle the ball more with the 2nd unit. Kuz seems to play off lebron better

He's not a shooter, I know the explanation why he isn't... but I really, really wish he was. I admire that Ingram has all-around potential, but if he had less of that and was just a better shooter, I'd feel a lot better about his progression. If Luke is calling the post-up ISOs, that's one thing. Maybe I was wrong to think that Ingram would starting hitting 3's at a respectable clip this year. It's never too late. The game would open up for him, and our team at large. He would be an unquestionable starter if he had the long ball.

he hesistate's on his 3's too now but also doesn't help that he hardly ever gets wide open looks, the only guy I see consistently getting open looks are the ones that opponents want to shoot the 3 in zo, do and lance. It'd be nice if he could be more trigger happy like Kuz

I wouldn't do Ingram for Beal trade because Beal isn't good enough for 25 mio.

I would do Ingram for Lillard and I would have done Ingram for Kawhi.

The point is though...the best/only way to build a contender is to have 1 or 2 cost controlled stars along with 1-2 max guys. Otherwise there is no chance to compete with GS and their 4 or 5 stars. We had 3 straight #2 picks and none turned into a star which is a pitty.

Ball and Ingram can still play though, so its not like we picked Anthony Benneth.

Had we traded Ingram for a guy like George we still probably wouldn't be contenders. But not trading him for Kawhi was stupid.

    ^its pure speculation.

It makes no sense to argue about something we don't know for sure. We don't know what they asked for and we don't know what the Lakers offered. Either way, its water under the bridge now.

Ya Larry Coon said he heared they asked for too much and it is probable to be the case. But we don't know for sure.

Ya, but not as bad as Ball.

Last year he shot 46% which is comical...this year he is shooting 55% from the line...which is still comical for a PG. Even Dwightmare is better from the FT line.
