Probably not. We wouldn't have enough for a full max deal, we'd only have 20-25 million or something. I had done the math at one point, but I don't know where.

I'm definitely okay with waiting a year and testing the FA waters. My only point the entire time was that it was weird people dismissed Beal like he was a non-factor. The guy is a real player and deserves some respect, that's all.

You think it's a guarantee he's better than that? Prince is a champion, a 4 time All-Defensive Team player, and a gold medalist.

Ingram put up very Tayshaun Prince numbers last year. Why is it so crazy to think that's where he'd end up?

Because it was Ingram's 2nd year? Because he made a HUGE jump from year 1 to 2? Because he's all about basketball and as dedicated as we've seen outside of Kobe? Because he's simply more talented than Prince?

All points that are encouraging, but nothing is guaranteed. Did you skip where Punk asked about his floor, realistic landing spot, and ceiling were? I had it at Tayshaun Prince, Danny Granger, and Kawhi Lenoard. I'm not unrealistic in my expectations of what Ingram can be.

I'm also not going to count on him to be the next greatest player in the league.

You used his "floor" as an argument why we should trade him for Beal. If this is your stance, your perception of his "ceiling" and "landing spot" seems not to have impacted your willingness to trade him.

i can agree that nothing is guaranteed. Ingram could become the next Prince, just like Bron can decline seriously due to mileage and become a shadow of his present self in 2 years.

That's an oversimplification of my argument. Again, for the umpteenth time, I'm saying not trading Ingram because he might be the next best thing is okay, but dismissing that Beal trade as nonsense as if we're getting nothing back is wrong.

    Sure. Great point.

I forgot to mention mine. Tell me if these are too purple and gold tinted.

Floor: B+ version of Paul george
Realistic: Odom with less rebounding but with a jumper and deadly offensive arsenal (not KD deadly, mind you).
Ceiling: Kawhi/Giannis combo but not as good as either. Maybe a B- version of each, which is an A+ player.

I see we're still talking about trading Brandon for Beal or Kawhi...

So like an almost Paul George? That's really not that far off from Tayshaun Prince. Do people not remember Tayshaun?

    The Odom one is interesting.

I think a B version of Kawhi makes sense (although a B version of Kawhi might be Paul George. :D)

Not crazy at all, but Ingram is 20 and already putting up Prince like numbers.

You were the one who used his floor (according to you - Prince) as an argument to trade him for Beal.

If it's Brandon Ingram for Kawhi Leonard. You make that trade. I do not care how good BI WILL be. Lakers can win a title in 11 months if kawhi replaces BI on this team.

    Me
    James
    Leonard
    KCP
    Rondo

That team is a defensive machine.

    Really? Tayshaun Prince?
    :Shaqdisappointed:
There is a possibility that he may not end up being the All Star or Superstar and thast he doesn’t reach his potential, that’s something you definitely have to keep in mind when dealing with prospects and upside/potential, but he also has the same exact chance to be the perennial All Star, the game changer, the mvp and/or champion and I would throw up if he becomes that in year 4 or 5, but we traded him prematurely for a borderline All-Star who scores well because we wanted to ‘win-now’.

Doris Burke is really high on BI. Make sure to look closely at this video title and the description under the video on the YouTube app or YouTube.com, oddly specific.
