You are mistaken if you think that would stop him.

but did he have the ugly irritating smirk that LLLLL has when he says stuff like that?

because if he did, he'd be a douche, but he seems more grounded than that

I think you have an unhealthy obsession with LeBron... you may secretly love him.

No one wants to hear it right now, but Ingram fought well against Durant. Durant ended up 12/29 for 36 points. Ingram was 6/12 for 19 points. Ingram went hard at the rim and should have gotten a handful of more free throws.

Ingram's next step as a defender will be maintaining focus off the ball. He too easily loses his man when he's watching the ball. It's a young player's trait, but it happens for him too often. It's an easily correctable mistake.

Still, overall a good effort from him. I know it's a tough one to swallow, but this is another game of progress. We have to stay patient with these young players. These are the mistakes they're "supposed" to make and the ones they'll learn from. At least they're not dribbling the ball off their feet out of bounds or forgetting how much time is on the clock. Those are the kinds of mistakes that really you make you question what kind of player you have.

Growing pains. I think he was a little shaken after not getting some calls & getting clobbered inside. He'll fight through these things in the future. Not to mention he had a tough cover. I agree, I thought he had some good moments covering KD tonight.

The play he got clobbered and knocked down it looked like he bumped his head on the floor to me when he landed face first, more that he got hit around the head which kept him down. But gawddammit I was yelling at him in the middle of that drive to stop beating himself up and doing those constantly when with his length if he would just more often mix it up and stop and get up in the air for a short jumper. He's starting to make some of them now.

Durant shot 10/29 and 3/4 of his makes were tough ones in OT. KD is the man... Liked the D from Ingram and drive ability.

Doesn’t play like your average 20 year old. He’s going to be good.

Disappointing that Luke hasn’t figured out how to put the pieces together yet.

This reminds me of MikeDanTony. He was unable to adjust to his roster, but give him the right horses, and he looks good. Houston looks great right now. GS looked great with Luke at the helm.

I have no doubts Luke can be a great coach with the right roster, but we don’t have it. If we are building with youth, will we ever have it?

If we bring in top level talent, will it really change things that much? Right now I question almost all lineups and late game coaching decisions. But then again, I felt that way about MDT.

dantoni's system still needs proving in the postseason. the issue is that he only wants to play one way. this is great in most circumstances, but other great teams can force you into things you don't like on occasion. one thing i will say that's changed is that there are fewer and fewer teams who can commit to playing a style that stymies dantoniball (muck up the pace, control the ball on offense). in fact, now that some of the top teams have gone all in on pace and space stuff, he's got a shot to win it all (which in the past, i always felt he didn't).

anyway, back to ingram. he's still learning, and there's still some of that iso ball stopping left in him from early in the season. i do blame luke and FO to some extent for that.

Yes, FT shooting, and while I was being sarcastic in the game thread lat night, he's coming along. When he drives, he needs to start thinking of others, though. As LFR pointed out, he gets "tunnel vision" and when he is slashing to the rim, he needs to start looking for others on the pass; it makes him less predictable and more difficult for us to be guarded; he's getting there, though.
