Ingram's transition offense is fine because there is less resistance but I liked his pull ups tonight. I agonized every time his shot just would just rattle around the rim and come out. Ingram's persistence though made that tip in possible. Defensively, I thought he was solid.

This was the best game I've seen from Ingram maybe ever.

Very impressive outing from him and I just hope he can keep this up.

Bricklayer? Dude shot 50% in spite of some rattling out. Defense was solid and had the 2nd best net production on the floor, behind only Zo. I'll take it all day, and twice on Wednesdays.

My "dad" cracks me up. LVBD. Said yesterday it should have been Ingram we traded to BK rather than DAR. Then was harassing me in PMs about it.

Great game from BI vs. Washington. When he starts out attacking the goal and finishing strong, it gets him going and he usually plays pretty good, like last night. Needs to do that more instead of that pseudo-Kobe, iso fadeaway stuff.

Solid showing from BI, still forcing ISOs but the shots he took looked more in rhythm.

I'm still waiting for him to put the defensive effort in the way he was last year. With his length, he should be helping Lonzo control the game more on the glass and defensively, but right now all his energy is focused on offense. He's only 19 or 20 or something and he's going to figure it out. I love his work ethic, I'm just waiting for things to click into place for him.

I tell you, great game by Ingram in the second half and especially with the killer small ball lineup of Lonzo, KCP, Kuzma and Randle.

But I am still totally underwhelmed by his play with the starters. He just doesn't have a reliable shot and the starters offense in general is so anemic. They need to change it up because they struggle to make 20 points in the first and third quarters.

I actually thought he had his best defensive game last night too. He really was battling on the switches, and even blocked Gortat was he tried to take him down in the post. He was active and didn't let Otto Porter get those easy buckets he usually gets, and he was also getting after Beal and making it tough for him in 4th/OT.

Liked what I saw, particularly in the second half.

He may have, but last season when he was at his best I thought he could be Kawhi. This season he's trying to be Durant and I'd prefer if he just went back to trying to be Kawhi: stay within himself and focus on defense/the little things instead of trying to put up shots. When it clicks on the defensive end, we'll know because he should be able to impact the game wildly on that side of the ball.

True. His focus seems to be O. But I honestly don't mind that. THat's the part of his game that needs the MOST work.

This Wizards game could be the game that we'll look back at later on and say that this was the game that BI introduced himself to the NBA and removed the "bust" label for good.

I have a feeling a lot of people in Milwaukee were feeling the same way about Giannis early in his career.

Give the kid some time, he's got the work ethic, the heart, the tools, he'll get there.

I'm still shocked at how some fans are impatient with this guy. If he was a bad character guy, I can totally understand. However no shenanigans off the court and a willingness to work hard at being great. That's a winning combo.

I'm with Real in that I want him to continue to focus on D, cause can you imagine Randle's big man footwork on a lanky body like BI's...that would be a nightmare for opposing teams on the wing. D first, then O like Kawhi is my preference. But if you look at KD, his D is really coming along right now, so if that's the route he chooses to take, then as long as the end result is similar, I'm okay with it.

Btw, the one thing I do like about his O is that he's aggressive and trying to get to the cup. BI wasn't entirely responsible for it, but his assertiveness on offense led to Otto parking it on the bench with 6 fouls.

Agreed that he should continue to focus on his D because with his length and ability he could be a total game changer. When I compared him to Tayshaun Prince when he got here there was a lot of flack about it, but honestly that's the kind of play that would make me happiest. I think the offense will come no doubt. And agreed that his aggressiveness especially in the fourth quarter helped us win this game! I do love seeing him take it to the hole. There was a great sequence when he took it right at Gortat and made the shot with contact. So far that's been his best asset offensively - taking his guy off the dribble and going hard to the hole using his length and agility.

What I don't love his how he is playing with the starters. He's been iso-ing way too much and his shot is still very suspect. I feel like we need more scoring punch out there with that group and that's why I've been hoping that we see Kuzma in his place there. Kuzma gives us outside shooting and a more versatile and easy scorer who is used to moving without the ball and finding space. So far Ingram has played his best ball that I've seen alongside a combo of mostly bench guys such as Randle and Kuz and at times Clarkson.

I'm not advocating even that Ingram play less minutes - just that he is replaced as a starter with Kuz to get that unit a jumpstart offensively. Ingram playing big minutes at the end of games is awesome. He's very composed.

Is Otto that bad of a defender? Oubre is decent; albeit a bit young. Not trying to play down the performance, but Washington doesn't have the greatest wings in the world. Still, a better performance against a better team. We called his number twice, and he delivered. Way to get it done.
