Did you even read my post? I'm aware Ingram DOES need to fill out. I NEVER said I expect him to be Kawhi Leonard or Kevin Durant right away. I NEVER said I expect him to be able to bang in the post right away. Everyone knows that it's gonna take Brandon some time and that's fine. It takes everyone time. It took Kobe a year before he could even get on the court and get big minutes. It took Durant three years before he was even an All Star.

I don't see why comparisons need to be left out. What are we supposed to never compare these kids? That makes no sense. The point of comparisons is to get an idea of what said player can be like at the next level and there's no question that Ingram in 2-3 years down the road can be a Leonard, Durant type player. Does that mean he'll be as good as them? Maybe, maybe not, but he at least can be in the ball park once he fills out and has 2-3 years of experience down the road.

I don't see how I'm being an homer. It makes me a homer to state what everyone else should see if they've watched Ingram play at Duke and just sat and watched tape of him? That's ridiculous. The kid's skill set is apparent. Yeah we all acknowledge the kid has a long way to go and needs to get stronger, but so what? The same has been true about a number of different players that went on to be greats and some all time greats such as Kobe, Durant, Dirk, and Nash. Ingram is already working on getting his strength up and he'll get there in due time. He's a hard worker and I've seen nothing to think why he'll be any different.

I just don't get why you're so worked up over comparisons. They'll always be there for players that come out every season. Kobe was compared to MJ, LeBron compared to Magic, Shaq to Wilt, even recently Randle to guys like Barkley and Randolph, Clarkson to Monta Ellis and Tony Parker, Russell to Steph Curry and Harden. It's simply part of the draft process. Players get compared. Ingram isn't shying away not should he.

I did read it. Same as everything you just rehashed here. And in it you said nothing about acknowledging he MAY NEVER be strong enough or padded enough to be that uber physical lock down guy as well as all the other skill and great plusses that I ticked off. I wasn't worked up when I posted as it was tongue in cheek with me the always positive homer type of fan, being the voice of reason for a change. Everything else you tick off really is superfluous to the point I am making. You're the one worked up about it. Now we're probably going to be busted for "bickering". LOL.

I mean, you both could be right. He may never fill out and still be a great defender...Tayshawn Prince?

I expect that, a really really good defender. A really good maybe multiple all star type career. Just he may have a shortcoming or two that leaves him less than "Superman" in every single facet of the game offense and defense. Look at him!

Hey! I was getting grief here yesterday for the perfectly valid observation that MY eye test said that Zubac looked more or at the very least as "coordinated" and similarly skilled at the same size 7'1" 260-265lb frame at 18 years of age as Marc Gasol looked in a Memphis rookie Youtube clip when he was 6 years older.

He's even more of a twig at present. But worlds BETTER. :Shaqwink:

    ^^^ Ingram.

    You mean Zubac?

Dude by the time "Timmy" gets through with him this summer .....he is thick and solid and will break Bender over his knee if given the chance.

Yeah, but even if you have the physique of Lundgren, will you have the MS in Chemical Engineering? Sorry to deal out the real talk, but no one on our team will have the physique/degree combo of Dolph Lundgren.

In other news, sounds like we need some serious grittitude adjustments.

I'm just saying that the actor has an MS (or equivalent) in chemical engineering. For reals.

...yes he did AND married the eclectic Grace Jones.

On topic: THE most important qualities I see in Ingram is his attitude...the drive to be better...to keep working [anyone skip a prom to be in a gym instead?]. In a couple of years, he will be an impact player and it would not surprise me he'd be the best one of this group. All Ingram has to do is develop his physique and keep adding to an already refined game.
