he's 6'6" 240 with a sub-30 inch vertical, just not super quick, not great evidence that he can do much offensively other than shoot, not much hope for him being a defender at sf, too short for an nba pf. can't find any concrete measurements on rui, but i think he's more like 6'8" 240 with a 7'2" wingspan. so the concern with this guy is probably that he's cole swider part II.
Multiple sites say 6’8” 230? https://www.google.com/search?q=wha...ight&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari
measured under 6'6" without shoes at the combine. anyway, i'm not even sure the 2 inches would matter. i'm hoping for the best, but i'm just pointing out why a guy who shoots like that would go undrafted.
Seems there is no consensus on line how they report height and these guys play in shoes .... just a personal gripe with the whole process. Probably 90% of size stats aren't based on the no shoes combine measurements so never sure whatever I'm reading. AD called a 7 footer for years when he's 6'10". Get off my damn lawn.
i like all the no-shoes measurements because it helps you compare sensibly. like this guy is listed at 6'8" but when he stands next to rui, you'll be able to spot the height difference from across the court.
Sure that's fine but when you do a search like I did above, say on a guy that's been in the league 10 years it's just not consistent. I suppose the better search is specifically Draft Combine height, as long as they were doing it in socks 10-15 years ago?
i always look for draft combine info, but some guys aren't there. like i said above, i can't find rui's. i think he's listed at 6'9" but i bet he's 6'7.5" in socks. whatever, the size stuff is a little overblown, anyway. i agree with someone recently who was saying folks have gotten too into finding wingspan instead of guys who can play basketball. to return to the player at issue, my concern is less about his size and more about that it doesn't look like he does much besides shoot.
Did you watch some other college clips? The highlight reels prob not all created equal knowing what serious teams want to see.
