BIG TIME game from Mclemore man....he basically broke the Nets spirit in the 4th with some back breaking 3's that really put the game out of reach. Let's keep it going against Knicks and Hornets Mclemore!!!
Could not miss from 3 in the 2nd half. To see a guy catch fire like that from 3 for us, so rare, that was fun as hell. Stars out, up big, give him the green light, he was feeling it. It looks like a smart signing to me now, he’s a specialist, if he can get hot fr a game here and there he’s valuable.
Yeah some of those shots were some of the most aesthetically pleasing makes I’ve seen from a Laker in some time. Rising up with no hesitation, perfect arc, nothing but net. Like I know we can’t expect this every game, but seeing how pure those threes were, it’s clear he’s a MUCH better shooter than the 33% from 3 he shot with Houston this season. He’ll be a weapon for us for sure.
Matthews is the better defender so I would think that Matthews gets priority. But man, McLemore better take advantage of the playing time he will get. This is his chance to get a solid role on the team.
Yeah, he’s not gonna shoot 50%, but he was clearly suffering from Houston being a dumpster fire. That huge losing streak and the fire sale of their talent, had to be a downer for the team. Then he comes here and everyone out there is swinging the ball around playing unselfish, rooting for eachother to do well, it’s got to be a breath of fresh air. Then as soon as he started hitting they were actively looking to get him open shots like 4 or 5 possessions in a row, this team has serious chemistry, continuity with guys like AC, Morris, and KCP has absolutely helped that. I think it’ll be situational. If it’s a tougher guy to defend it’s probably Matthews. If it’s an average player it could be Ben, or maybe even who seems more on that night. Nice luxury to have though.
Human Microwave out there tonight. He didn't lose confidence after a bad first half and really dominated from that left corner. He's streaky, so there's going to be really good games and some really bad ones. I'll take it though, especially since he decided to put on a show against the Nets. I don't play him in front of Wes. Wes is a strong defender and smarter player. But Ben definitely nailed McKinnie to the bench when everyone is back. And honestly with our roster it seems someone is always going to be out with something so the opportunity will be there.
And McKinnie is playing well. So many options. Have to trust our coaches and Frank’s calls each game. They’ve sure earned it.
Most 3 point shooters are. Steph is very streaky. Just streaks positively more often than not, but he has some really bad percentage games too.
The footwork ( forgot what's the technical term when you take off on both feet at the same time to shoot , contrary to 1-2 steps) and shot release look pure
