At least let us have Gafford. He's my top target if available, they've got a glut of bigs and the relationship with Nico is good. I like Kessler too (relationship is also good) but as said by others Utah doesn't have to trade him, he's super young and productive. Ditto for Claxton, I don't see the incentive to move him.

Claxton will be moved for a top5 pick and someone decent. No way NJ takes our trash...

This wasn't posted here but Ludabrow had surgery back in July for a detached retina.

Sources - Mavs' Anthony Davis had surgery for detached retina

    https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/45695866/sources-mavs-anthony-davis-had-surgery-detached-retina

Dallas Mavericks All-Star Anthony Davis underwent a procedure to repair a detached retina that he suffered during the season, sources told ESPN's Shams Charania.

Davis is expected to be healthy for training camp, his first with the Mavs since being dealt to Dallas in the blockbuster trade that sent Luka Doncic to Los Angeles.

Davis dazzled in his Mavericks debut, posting 26 points, 16 rebounds, 7 assists and 3 blocks before leaving that game with a groin injury that would sideline him for the next six weeks.

All totaled, Davis played in 11 games for Dallas, including two play-in games in which he averaged 33.5 points and 9.0 rebounds.

Davis is expected to shoulder a heavy load this season, with star point guard Kyrie Irving set to miss a substantial portion of the season recovering from a torn ACL. Dallas did however select Cooper Flagg with the No. 1 pick in last month's NBA draft.

He beefs up to play forward but not center?

    :KobeConfused:

The new eye protection. Smaller goggle type. Long as they don't fog shouldn't be much of a problem. There's plastic and glass treatments that should do the trick. These dumb a** yayhoots that don't trim their nails and leave tiger attack scratches all over opponents bodies are a big risk especially down low for anyone's eyes.

AD clearly hasn't been an offseason workout demon for a very long time, if he ever was.

one possibility is that his nagging injuries make him prioritize rest and recovery over training, but...it's not great. i love AD, but i always thought his decline would be steep and was coming soon. i honestly thought we'd end up dealing him as a huge expiring because he wouldn't make it all the way through his most recent contract.

the optics of this for Dallas fans is so bad. If he comes in and scores 30 ppg while being the defensive player he can be, all worries will be tossed aside, except perhaps Nico's. He dumps a once in a lifetime superstar for gaining 20 pounds while injured and the guy he gets does the same thing. LOL
