No, it was last season. He played for the Mavs after playing for the Warriors the year before (and ended up being a big loss for them when he got injured and they lost those Finals), but he was waived I believe and then signed with the Cavs late in the season. Then he got injured game 1 with them. He's definitely an injury risk, that's why he gets the vet min, but from what I've read about his famous freak arm injury, it's amazing he's still playing at all.
You are quite right. For some reason I thought I remembered the injury in game 1, but it was game 1 of joining the Cavs. Thanks for the correction.
^^^ .... and this is how I rolled in the 2016 playoffs. Actually this clip from just the start that I've seen seems to showcase more of his all around game including passing for which he's got a good reputation. RE: the passing and heady play ..... WOW
Yeah, I would have taken Mozgov back for 2.3M. But Bogut is much better as long as he can stay close to healthy and on the floor.
I don't know. even at that price Mosgov imo isn't the right fit for this team. I'd much rather have Bogut even at a higher price and mozgov at vet minimum.
Bobby Marks is a very well respected capologist. He works closely with other cap guys like Pincus. His job is to comb through NBA contracts for interesting information.
He's actually quite tight with Woj and knows his stuff. He was once in the front office for the Nets and he doesn't mind talking about his debacle of the KG & Pierce trade to Nets that he helped complete.
